Using the 12V plug inside, you’ll be limited by your vehicle’s fuse – so keep it under 80w to be safe. Using the clamps directly off the battery, you can run higher wattages.
@wardad also great if you just have a few extra 12V batteries lying around. I’ve used similar things camping to do stuff like make margaritas in the middle of the woods. Now there’s plenty of other options but these are still useful
@ddbelyea@wardad I’ve used an inverter like this and a car battery before to run a Christmas tree display with music where there isn’t any power. That’s a fun and chronologically relevant use.
@ciabelle Looking at their website, you can connect a remote on/off controller(sold separately) that can monitor and provide quick USB charging. So basically monitoring and extending the USB ports to a more convenient location I suppose.
Anyone else get theirs and have issues with it? The USB ports are not pushing power. I have tried several vehicles with the same result. The 12v plug also sucks.

I’m missing something. Where does the power come from? Hamsters? Waterfall? Your car battery?
It’s great that the power can be inverted with 90% efficiency. But what power are we talking about?
@wardad This.

What’s the deal with that RJ-45 jack though?
