@Bumplepimp no, you came here for amateur psychology counseling and occasional snarky responses. The $5 crap is optional. And way cheaper than our usual hourly rate.
I don’t even have a sofa for you to lay on because mice invaded it.
@mediocrebot@pmarin I have noticed “motivational posters” in other showmes, so it must be a thing. Maybe meh has tuned the showme to add motivational posters wherever possible.
@cfg83@Kyeh@mediocrebot@pmarin Technically that would qualify as a automatic mechanical self winding watch with an exhibition back and a skeletonized dial. Probably even good to 200 meters. The only thing it is lacking is a calendar function. What’s not to love?
I got a couple of these in a previous sale, and set one up in our spare room to turn a lamp on at dusk every day when we were going out of town, to help give the place an occupied look. Works great.
@tmdowling OMG, I just realized that I can use the remote in a raspberry pi to “press” buttons that turn it on and off … oh, wait … laziness taking over … nevermind.
@cfg83@pmarin Yes! That is how it was pronounced by those who invented them. (But the long “O” version seems to be propagating even in the UK these days…)
Trying to parse out the settings above. I’m left believing that the “dusk to 2 hr, 4-hr, 6 hr” etc means dusk to 2 hour, dusk to 4 hour, dusk to 6 hour … If these could be configured to a simple countdown that was “one and done” as an option they would be ideal for plugging in the battery chargers for your power tools. This would allow them to charge out in the shop then cut the power off to the charger when you were done so you wouldn’t have to go back out there later on to unplug them. This would cut down on the “vampire power loss”. Guess I’ll continue to use my Wi-Fi enabled smart outlets (I got here) for that purpose instead.
Likewise, if it could be used to program to turn off from dust to dawn I could use it for the UVC light in my fish pond to keep the algae from growing. I don’t necessarily need to run it at night,.

@ergomeh You are wise.
/showme Interior of house where every object has googly eyes.
@cfg83 Here’s the image you requested for “Interior of house where every object has googly eyes.”
@mediocrebot Yeah, that’s it.
@cfg83 Suggests the idea of carrying a pack around to stick on random photos when visiting friends and family.
@ergomeh I keep a 6 month supply of Googly eyes in my fallout shelter. For around town …
Just so meh knows, Alabama Red makes more sense than Georgia Red, which is why they are called Alabama Crimson Tides!!
@DisabledWarVet4
*which is why they are called (the) Alabama Crimson Tide

I don’t have time for this.
@werehatrack Then maybe … you need it?
Do I HAVE to use this outside? Would using it inside void the warranty?
@cfg83 It depends… Will it be positioned vertically?

@cfg83 @mediocrebot @pmarin Somehow I think that’s a thing that people would buy! (Especially if George really did endorse it.)

@mediocrebot I approve!
@cfg83 @mediocrebot sign me up for scones. (Pronounced “skons!” according to a Scottish boy I went to school with — don’t say s-cones)
We are the skonheads, we come from

No app? No thanks. (´ー`)
@dvermilion odd how many commenters here say they refuse to buy a product that needs an app!
@pmarin I think it’s more about getting another app as opposed to a dislike of apps in general.
I don’t need this at all. But at this price I’m getting one anyway
