Cheesecake
6I was supposed to be making a cheesecake for someone’s birthday tomorrow, but because this year has been spectacularly fucked up in so many ways it’s not gonna happen. I’m pretty bummed out about the whole thing and right now I don’t even have a kitchen to make one anyways and eat my feelings all by myself.
Does anyone wanna make a cheesecake and let me live vicariously through them? Or post their favorite recipe? Or just pictures of cheesecake? I’m not picky at this point.

I don’t have a recipe as baking is more my wife’s wheelhouse, but I do enjoy a good cheesecake

Chocolate Truffle Bomb
@heartny OK I
wantNEED that.@Kidsandliz If your are in New York, you can often find these at Stop 'n Shop stores. Well worth it. It’s been my birthday cake of choice for years.
Cheesecake Factory ‘Oreo Dream Extreme Cheesecake’. I think each slice has 5 million calories, or something close to that.
@heartny OMG that looks delish! Yum Yum Yum!
@heartny @Lynnerizer Oreos are magical. Just the right crunch and flavor, but you can cook them into stuff and they’re soft and match the texture of the cake. Dip them into milk for instant softness and oreo milk flavor. Kinda perfect.
@heartny This reminds me of the “groom’s cake” from some friends’ wedding when I was in college. The “cake” was Oreo cheesecake (not quite as good as this one looks, but still amazing). Somehow most of the cheesecakes didn’t get put out for the guests. So they went with all of the leftover food to the Christian fellowship house where we all hung out and some of us lived. We had Oreo Cheesecake for like a week and it was awesome!
POPSOCKETS! SPROCKETS! DAVY CROCKETT! AWESOME!
Cheesecake is kinda nasty. It’s all about the crepes!
@goldnectar If you’re going to be wrong about something, I guess go big. Cheesecake is the best use of cheese and the best cake. Also the best pie, and it isn’t even pie.
@goldnectar Now that looks really good!
This was my favorite Cheesecake Factory flavor, but as usual for me, they discontinued it. Can’t believe it’s $99.99 at Harry & David! At least it’s not $100.00…
Cheesecake is one of my all time favorites! YUM YUM YUM
I love cheesecake.
I used to work at a New York pizza place (Famous Famiglia) in a mall food court on the east side of Cleveland. We had Eli’s cheesecake as a dessert item and once in a while I would sneak a slice while hiding in the cooler in the back. Soooo good.
You can watch Rhett and Link taste every single flavor from Cheesecake Factory:
@RiotDemon aaaaand now I’m in the car on the way to CF
@sanspoint There truly is a King Missle song for every occasion.
Mmmm… cheesecake…
I love cheesecake, don’t get me wrong. But if you are looking for a delicious, quick and easy substitute, try this:

I’ve been following the elections, kinda burned out on all things rich and white; However, I have made something akin to these before (albeit certainly not as photogenic) that were quite tasty:
@rogerbacon what on earth are those things? they look delicious, but is that egg whites inside a snickerdoodle? or mozzerella inside parmesan? or marshmallow inside a hush puppy???

Lately I’ve been spreading plain Greek yoghurt on buttered toast, and then spreading a bit of blackberry jelly on top of the yoghurt. Best toast is some darker heavier bread like a sourdough. Oddly enough, it is sort of like cheesecake, although not so lethal.
Last year my baking group made japanese cheesecake.

@Mavyn how jiggly was it?
Not very. A little wobble. I need to make it again, to do better, but no way I’m making that when I can’t pawn it…I mean, share it with others. Toooo much for one person.
The chocolate chip cheesecake I made during the summer.
While we didn’t get a picture, my 15 yo daughter made me a cheesecake for my birthday a few weeks back. All I can say it was good. Here was the recipe - https://sugarspunrun.com/best-cheesecake-recipe/
I just spread some Philadelphia Cheesecake No-Bake filling real thick on some Graham crackers. Simple, easy.
I also have a wonderful family recipe, but you guys aren’t getting that.
I forgot about this little gem. Cheesecake enrobed in ganache, topped with mousse and chocolate ribbons. Awesome.
POPSOCKETS! ROAD ROCKETS! SONNY CROCKETT! AWESOME!
@heartny Okay, that is remarkable!!
Saw this topic in the forum list and thought Meh was offering it for sale.
@PooltoyWolf That would be awesome.
VAN GOGH! MANGO! TANGO! AWESOME!
