I bought the two pack a while back, and I have no complaints. Easier to fly than those RC helicopters, and performs as described. About eight minutes flight time.
I bought six of these from Meh in the past. They are great fun, they are a great deal for the money, and are a blast to fly. They last about a week, so buy several of them as they will eventually fail to charge or fly or track properly. That said, they are a decent trainer for a phantom or other similar larger quad copter as they respond to the control sticks the same way. Well worth the money, loads of fun for a while...
Just buy extras now for spare parts or propellers or batteries, etc. it's cheaper in the long run.
NOTE: If you have a child with long curly hair, don't allow your other children fly these little things near their head. It took a while to get it out.
@capguncowboy If you pull the props off, the hair should just slide off the shafts and you're left with just untangling each individual prop instead of the entire quad-hairball.
You guys. Buy a hundred of these. They are way more than of $10 of fun, or $15 if you're some casual Meh-er. Racing, chasing kids, chasing dogs, chasing spouses, chasing birds, violating federal airspace restrictions, damaging your fan, getting a chance to see what the top of your house looks like... they have a million uses. Plus, replacement blades are cheap and they aren't too hard to pop open if you need to do some minor repair work.
Pro tip: Keep an eye on it when it's plugged in and unplug it as soon as the charging light is off. They don't seem to regulate very well and the battery on one swelled up and leaked onto the circuit board, causing some damage.
@Rosstafari When the light turns off, it stops charging. I've left these plugged in overnight without any issues. It's possible that yours had a bad battery to begin with or you tried to charge it immediately after flight when the battery was still hot. I generally let it cool 5-10 minutes before plugging in the charger.
@Rosstafari I knew what you meant, just didn't want someone skimming the comments to get confused and think they were getting the model with the camera . . . I actually thought your post was pretty damn funny (just really had the potential for being confusing based on the very recent two past sales of the other model).
@kuoh Good point, didn't think about that. Thanks for the tip.
@Pavlov I, for one, am disappointed that the Meh crew didn't land their camera version on top of the American Airlines Center in the test video. Imagine the hidden treasures they could've found!
Do not plug these into a standard USB charger! You need to use a computer USB apparently. Bought 2 and killed one doing this. Although it could have been DOA.
@n8mack33 I've used about four different kinds; three for phones and one off my computer. I don't think the charger type matters. The batteries are just touchy (definitely a flaw, but to be expected given the price). Just be sure to unplug it as soon as the charging light is off.
@commodog Although sold through Amazon, that seller is still based in China so you can expect shipping to take about a month. Or you can go to a chinese-based company that has a warehouse in the U.S. and spend a little more money, but get it much quicker: http://us.banggood.com/wh_buy/Usa/Cheerson-cx-10.html
More stuff about this... like the write up suggests, it definitely flies better, since it's lighter. And yes, the battery life is at least twice as long (about eight minutes). There are three settings that basically limit how much control you can exert over it; on expert mode the quad flies surprisingly fast for its size.
If you buy one and are having trouble translating the cryptic Chinese instructions... to turn it on and pair it, Make sure the left stick on the controller is all the way down. Then switch on the quad, then the controller. It should beep once. Move the left stick all the way up till you hear another beep, then back down to the bottom for a third one. You're good to go.
A good idea before you start flying, and if you start to encounter problems, is to calibrate it. Place the quad on a level surface, and then move the left stick to the bottom left and the right stick to the top left. Hold them there until the lights flash for a few and go back to normal. You're good to go.
Hope this saves a few people some time. It took a little bit to figure out, but once you do, it's a surprisingly fast and agile quad.
Very clever, Meh! Sell it again before people who ordered it last time receive theirs! People can't say how much it sucks if you sell it a second time before those who bought it the first time receive theirs.
Isn't this the same one you sold a couple of weeks ago for $24? Do you take a dollar off the price each day until it is free....oooohhhh..waiting for the free day!
@momcobb Nope, the $24 one had a camera and came with an SD card & reader. This is still the cheapest they've sold this model, and it has, in fact, gone down by a dollar each time (per unit, though one of them was a twofer).
All you people who say they are easy to fly must have incredible motor coordination. I've ruined two and crashed the third enough times I am surprised it still works.
@danpritts I've flown RC planes, RC Helicopters, and quadcopters for some time now so it actually is fairly easy to fly. The key is small, movements. It's not a video game.
@perkinsm Read the top post in every product thread for useful information like product specs, warranty information and shipping dates. For this product:
Estimated Delivery: 12/15 - 12/18ο»Ώ
I bet that would have been useful information on Monday. Sorry about that.
@sligett 4 channel is the number of control channels you have between controller and copter (throttle up/down, pitch forward/aft, roll left/right, yaw left/right). These use 2.4ghz digital controllers so you can bind many of them and fly near each other. I don't have a firm number.
I have one of these with and one of these without a camera, and I definitely recommend the one without. The camera is neat for novelty purposes, but the cameraless one is better to fly. It's more maneuverable, it's faster, and it's got a better battery life.
Enchanted-attentive-shade. Oddly it's a lot of pictures of fingernails (don't know how to add images from phone).
Anyways hoping the randomness puts one of each color in the box so the three kids easily know which is whose when they get them out of their stocking Christmas morning. winkwink *hinthint*
You can make as many additional accounts as you like and continue to order in multiples of three. But for each three ordered, you're paying $5 for shipping.
My 28yr old son will love this!!! He's a big time tech junkie and a major Xbox one gamer. So this was made for him, and as a bonus, when his sister is creating drama , he'll just chase her around with it. Christmas is gonna really be fun this year!!!! Thanx Meh!!!πππ
After 400 days of being meh, and a meh click streak now at 135 days (after fucking up at least once), many lame posts in the forum, and getting fucked outta my prize during a meh periscope, I dropped the hammer and bought TWO of these mofos.
Just exactly what kind of camera would fit on this thing. I believe it has a payload of about a gerbil pube. I can't believe I bought this. Where was the babies hand? I can throw it approximately 18 times farther than I can fly it. Congratulations to the head of the advertising dept. You can officially sell sand to a camel. That would be me. I am a broken man. I take full responsibility for this FUBAR. I was sure I could read.
@djslack i do not work in an office, but the potential to annoy far outweighs the price. I'm not so dumb after all. Of course when i factor in that you had to point out the true intrinsic value of this flying infection i am still borderline dumb at least. But i knew that already. But still thank you sir slack
@Bkmack lol, not dumb... I'm just the unofficial Cheerson champion for the forum. I solidly believe the CX-10 is the best thing I've bought from Meh (well, not the camera version) and so I feel compelled to defend its honor :)

First time I was ever first, and BTW, MEH!!!
Hi, sorry to bother you.
Camera or no camera?
It looks like a camera, but I am not sure.
@thekenya No camera
@dynamiklol But I see camera in picture.
Very confusing.
Thank you for time.
@thekenya can't you "picture " Mehs amusement using that illustration then stating camera not included??
Get High with this toy -- maybe
Quad-copter equals four times the fun?
@zahgrim There's a very complicated algorithm for calculating the specific enjoyment quotient... but, ya, basically fun*4.
I bought the two pack a while back, and I have no complaints. Easier to fly than those RC helicopters, and performs as described. About eight minutes flight time.
@LikeClockwork Definitely easier than the helio to fly. My nephews love them.
BTW, get the crash proofing bumper and spare props on Amazon, they really helped them survive the learning curve to full cohtrol of flight.
And if you fly it up about forty feet in the air, it will lose control and crash into the earth. So don't do that. Just, like, ten feet, maybe.
THESE ARE SO MUCH FUN!
I can't wait to do selfies with... Oh...

@JasonToon as for the title for Monday's, how's about Mundane Multirotor Mondays?
@mehdaf @ruouttaurmind endorses "Multirotor Mondays"
These things are awesome.
NOTE: If you have a child with long curly hair, don't allow your other children fly these little things near their head. It took a while to get it out.
@capguncowboy You mean like this:
Or like this:
These can ruin Christmas day if you're not careful! π
@capguncowboy If you pull the props off, the hair should just slide off the shafts and you're left with just untangling each individual prop instead of the entire quad-hairball.

Unmanned Monday? That's my fun day.
@russellwilde It's just another manic Monday...
cheap enough to be stocking stuffers
@jihiggs They are flying out the door!
for the fly by night customer -- maybe fly by day ?
@AttyVette I would stick with fly by day.
I wantz to pick my own colorz!
@Pavlov +1
Wait, what? No camera? What's the β?
As Flava Flav once wisely asked, "You want $10 for WHAT?" (okay, he said $6, but there's some inflation since 1989...)
As always, meh for no mention of Drone.Horse.
And as always, because it flies... I endorse this deal.
@ruouttaurmind droning on and on and on again about this deal
I bought last time as well. Was worth about $10/$11 of fun. Maybe a little more....

@Rosstafari
No camera on this model . . . But I guess you'll get the chance to see your roof when you go up to get it back down, though.
@Pavlov Yeah, that's how I meant it. I'll write my words more better next time.

That's the one I got before and never flew right. Also broke in about 20 minutes.

No one Mehntions that it's barely an inch and a half square! Hello?? It goes 40'? Who'd know? In a Meh Sec you wouldn't see it!! Meh!
@grammycakes There are actually smaller quads than this one.

Got a pair in the twofer tuesday a while back. Life of the office for a few days - but alas we're rough on new toys. In for two more.

These are fun. Cheap enough to be disposable.

Hah! Trebec, you entice me with these things. But they're not half as much fun as your mother!

@brhfl I must have bought the $25 model (no camera). I am still holding out for the FREE day!! It could happen.
I love these things. Now that my son and I have destroyed the last two, it's time to get three more.
But... really... I had to post to say: whimsical-musing-krill. Awesome.
