@jaybird I think the designs are very polarizing, so maybe the polarized ones are $1 more for keeping with the polarization theme. Or maybe they’ll get more expensive each time they’re offered because they’ll be rarer each time. I think the important thing to take away from this, is that I bought a used car that was previously owned by an 89 year old man, and the sunglasses I found in the sunglass holder were similar to several being offered here today. So, if you’re into looking like an 89 year old dead guy, buy these. Also, I think I’m due for an oil change.
@jaybird@warpedrotors Guessing they sold out earlier at the lower price? If so, perhaps Meh thinks they can charge more and still sell out. Simple capitalist supply-and-demand economics. Love it or leave it!
I bought a pair of the 130F style last time these were on offer. FWIW, they are a lot heavier than I expected, heavier than all my other sunglasses. Not particularly comfortable for extended use.
I bought a pair last time as cheap glasses to keep in the car. They made me appreciate how much better and more comfortable a good pair is, so I bought lenses to put in an old pair and gave these away.
@RexFlex I will not brew decaf. Decaf is the mind-killer. Decaf brings the little sleep that leads to total oblivion. I will embrace my caffeine. I will brew my beverages and let them flow through me, and when they are gone, I will remain … alert.
Hey, girl. I just wanted to say I got some of these last time.
5160 (POLARIZED), BLACK
130F (POLARIZED), SATIN BLACK
Both fit my wider-than-average face very nicely. I use one for mowing the lawn and such and the other from driving and walking around the zoo and so forth. Very worth it. Would recommend. Also, I still love you. Come back to me.
Bought these last time (130F) and was very pleased. I have never owned sunglasses worth more than a couple dollars and was pleasantly surprised. Sure they’re not high end, but they’re nice for what I want. In for a second pair.
Bought a couple pairs of these and after about a month the coating on the outside of the lens on the dark pair was noticeably stained or coming off. I wore them while driving and stored them in a visor clip for sunglasses . Not abused. Cleaned with optician supplied solution and microfiber cloth. Cheap but should have lasted longer.

What’s with the dollar increase on polarized?
@jaybird polarized is more gooder so more expensiver
@warpedrotors yes, but the previous 2 sales (one daily and one thon) they were $10.

shaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaade
“you know who won’t be wearing these?”
@alacrity In the case of the polarized ones, pilots.
@alacrity @werehatrack Interesting, I did not know that - it wasn’t covered when I was a student pilot around 40 years ago.
Here’s more on the subject: https://www.faa.gov/pilots/safety/pilotsafetybrochures/media/sunglasses.pdf
Alas, I ran out of money/passion before I got my ticket. And as a driver rather than pilot, I went with a polarized pair:

@alacrity @werehatrack Yeah, that’s me.
The guy in the back.
Shady.
Cleavage is like the sun. If you wear dark glasses you can look at it longer without risk of injury.
@tweezak Also depends on whose cleavage and how well your wife knows you.
@mehcuda67 @tweezak You mean like this?
@ircon96 @mehcuda67 @tweezak The gif didn’t go through, but I’m guessing it’s Adam Sandler and Chris Farley in the “Schlitz Gay” commercial?

So which pair are good for the eclipse next month?
@lonocat M O O N, that spells cataracts.
I still have a ton of sunglasses from the bundle sale about 5 years ago.
$9-11 for these on a day like today. I see what you done did there
