@UncleVinny What age am I supposed to start getting my prosodical chuffed again? I don’t have any ostensible yearnings or yearning-like symptoms but I want to be safe and the last time I had an appointment didn’t work out…
I left because when I asked the doctor “where should I put my pants”, he said “over there next to mine” and passed me the mask he was huffing nitrous out of.
We grow peppermint in the area where I live so please go buy candy canes for friends and kids to help our economy. For what it’s worth I don’t like them either.
@tweezak We have some mint growing around a shed in the yard. Smells great when I run over some of it with the lawn mower. I used to grab a mint leaf and chew on it once in a while. Then one day I saw the dog peeing on it.
@macromeh I grew up on a “farm” that wasn’t actually a working farm but we had some animals and grew most of our own food. We had about 50 acres of timber and we heated with wood we cut from our own land. It was a very forested, rural area and wild mint grew was easy to find. My mom said we should rinse it before chewing it so I did. I don’t think it was dog-related but had something to do with something naturally on the leaves. Maybe it has a mild toxin to keep bugs from eating it. Not sure. Wiki doesn’t say anything bad about it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mentha_canadensis
Last year the dollar tree had a candy cane game that you spinned and either got a real fruit tasting one or one that tasted like fish, stinky socks and other stuff. It was actually lots of fun to play at Christmas with my family. I’m going back to see if they have them again this year.
All candy canes or just the peppermint ones?
@yakkoTDI
They are, indeed, nasty. And kudos to Irk for the poetic “stri-PED” pronunciation of “striped”, that chuffed my prosodical yearnings.

Candy canes are still better than candy corn, which is literal garbage so I think I have to say that candy canes are better than garbage.

@tweezak I promise to help you out.

Love them. Plus they are a holiday candy that people eat year round as pepermints
@CaptAmehrican We’re big fans of Red Bird ones.

Idk how you dislike a sugar stick you can lick into a shiv?
peppermint keeps mice away, I had coworkers who kept pieces in their desks because sometimes mice would get into our old building.
@mbersiam Thanks for the tip! We have been in our home 17 years. Have never had a mice problem, until this past year. Nothing seems to work.
@mbersiam @Sugaree1956 I bet you a cat works
