I wish I could find a straight answer somewhere about whether this “Mineral Shield” coating is ceramic or PTFE-based. I have been burned by too many assurances of “Oh, this is safe, you can even use metal utensils in it” only to discover that it was just another PTFE-with-fillers coating, and the claims of metal-friendly durability were basically bullshit. Tell me it’s ceramic with no PTFE straight up, or GTFO.

Can I eat cereal out of these? I eat a lot of cereal. Not sure it’s worth $150 just for fancy cereal bowls.
@steelopus what if we throw in a free IRK with these cereal bowls
@steelopus anything is a cereal bowl if you’re brave enough
@snapster Hmmm… let me think about it for the next 12 hours and then decide to buy them at the last minute just to keep my IRK streak alive.
@snapster @steelopus
Just make sure you eat fast enough so all the blood doesn’t rush to her head.
Congratz to everyone who suddenly figured out their >$100 plans for the IRK.
@triavalon Hey look, it’s me!

And I will note that some Calphalon has ceramic coatings which they explicitly describe as such - and this isn’t it.
So the non-handles are just for stacking?
Not that it matters, I’ve got all the pans I need.
Is it induction compatible?
