Buying meh products that can't make margaritas is safer.
4There is apparently a rash you can get in as little as 5 min in the sun when you drink margaritas, eat citrus, celery, figs and fennel in the sun. The chemical responsible from those foods is furocoumarins, or furanocoumarins. About 24 hours later you can get a poison ivy looking rash.
Therefore my conclusion is if you only buy meh products that can’t make margaritas then you will be safer from that.

I’ve never been bothered that a product can’t make a margarita. I like lots of drinks… Margaritas arn’t one of them.
For in-the-sun drinks, I make a mean sour mix from scratch (not hard and better than premade mixes)… Various Daiquiri are really easy to make that are far better than anything you buy in the bar… and I love to make Blue Hawaiians…
But margaritas I’m afraid to say, are overhyped nastiness. Keep selling products that can’t make margaritas meh!
The trick with most frozen drinks to make them better is to not use ice… use frozen fruit instead- you get a much better flavour… unfortunately, since Margaritas are made with ass you can’t do that… frozen ass is no better than ice.
@OnionSoup Well I don’t even drink so margaritas are irrelevant to me… but continuing the theme of the long running joke I just had to post.
@Kidsandliz yeah… I think it’s time they upgrade that joke to at least a Pina Colada.
Well, it sounds like as long as the drink is inside you you’re okay, but you don’t want to spill it on yourself. @chienfou and @tinamarie1974, be careful pruning your fig trees!
@Kyeh
Just noticed mine have a ton of figs on them this year. Hopefully they’ll come in before we leave for a month-long trip mid july… I would hate to think they all ripen while I’m gone! That would suck!
@chienfou Oh, that would!
Hmm, my wife gets a rash after exposure to strong sun. It causes her hands to break out in red bumps (not sunburn) that last a few days. She is an avid gardener, so she has to cover up and limit her gardening to morning or evening to minimize sun exposure. Curiously, my ex-wife (no relation) had a similar condition.
@macromeh My mother used to get that but for some reason it went away. She was told it was heat rash, or prickly heat.
Personally, my beachy summer drink of choice is a virgin pinã colada!
