Buy my Riot Fest 3-day pass!
7Hey Mehtizens! I optimistically held onto my 3 day Riot Fest pass (with bonus Thursday night event!) this spring because I really believed that, with vaccines readily available, surely we’d be in a fairly safe place as far as pandemic by now and we are not.
But I am old and have crap lungs.
If you do not have crap lungs and you would like to buy this pass, lemme know. $150 plus whatever transfer fee buys it now; otherwise, comment whatever price you want and highest by Thursday gets it. I’d rather give it to a (vaccinated, mask wearing) Mehtizen than waste it.
Mods, please flog me with wet noodles if not allowed.

Can we flog you but still allow the post?
@Ignorant I’ll even bring the noodles.
@brainmist @Ignorant Pasta Drop noods???
@Ignorant @tinamarie1974 I think I have enough pasta left for a Lady Godiva look, but that seems like a waste of good pasta.
@Ignorant Just saw Flogging Molly. They’ve done their fair share of Riot Fests.
Seriously, folks, if you live near Chicago, and want to check this fest out, it’s usually pretty great. If no one takes the ticket, I may brave one day, but I’d rather even give it away to someone who will enjoy it.
(money is also good. I like money. For buying more Mehrchandise)
It looks like a great event, I wish I lived closer to Chicago! Good luck with finding someone to take them.
@ircon96 It’s always been a good time. I was really looking forward to crowd surfing, and the inevitable “Ma’am, you need to get down RIGHT NOW. MA’AM, STOP RUNNING”.
@brainmist Sounds like a blast! Fingers crossed that u can make it next year…? This Covid crap HAS to level out at some point! Yeesh.
@ircon96 I’ve already bought a VIP (Yay, toilets!) pass for next year. I really hope I can use it. But, a bit like my VMP, even when it doesn’t pay off, even if I can’t use it, I’m sustaining a community and event I truly love and believe in.
(But I hope to go crowd surfing. I really love being yelled at by very patient security. While I run.)
Seriously though, folks who’ve attended fests: I haven’t been to a huge number, but for MIdwesterners, I’ve been to Lolla, Summer Camp, Euforia, and a few smaller ones, and Riot Fest eclipses them all for the sheer joyfulness. It’s my favorite fest. So I’d love to share it (please be vaxxed and masked).
How is travel to/from the Fest?
Been meaning to take one of my kids. Used to take my oldest when he was 12-13 to the all-ages back when it was indoors. One of the best benefits of bringing a kid to Riot Fest is the security folks will not pat-down a kid.
So when Danzig and Doyle get together for a “Misfits” set, and cameras are heavily scrutinized…
“I got something to say…”
@G1 It’s travel in Chicago.
I may have a friend interested, but I’ll let you know if not.
@brainmist Sorry to mislead, but I cannot swing it this year.
I was just wondering how you get to/from there. Haven’t been for a few years.
The website says take public trans, don’t think about driving.
@G1 I have never had too much difficulty finding parkside parking. And it’s no cost parking, to boot. I’ve only had to walk a couple blocks to get there.
Riot Fest requests attendees not park in the residential areas themselves, so as not to alienate the community, which IMO makes excellent sense.
OK, folks, this is officially a freebie (plus whatever transfer costs).
First to respond gets a three day pass.
If no one responds? That’s OK. It’s a global pandemic, still. Everything is weird and disrupted.
For the future? Riot Fest is amazing. Heartily recommend.
