Button Battery Bounty
8I saw this coin and button battery mega collection in Lidl tonight for only $6.99. My first thought was that Meh should sell something like this, but since they don’t, I bought it. Use by date of 5/2026. Not sure what I am going to do with them all, aside from putting them in the frig for now. Plastic banana for scale.

Wowww! Meh will probably have them two and a half years from now.
Very similar to the cards of cells they sell at Skycraft, my local electronics surplus store. Very good deal, though I do wish they offered the same quantity all in one battery type for the ones that get used most often, like the LR44 and CR2032.
@PooltoyWolf There are sites that sell button batteries in bulk; the more you buy, the lower the unit price. I have about 50 watches, and when it’s time to replace the batteries, I can get all the different sizes at a good price (because god forbid watches all use the same size battery).
@PooltoyWolf
I buy these in bulk off Ebay. I got 100 Sony batteries with a 7 year shelf life for around $28 shipped.
I got one of those cards between 7-10 years ago. I’ve used like four and to @pooltoywolf’s point they are all from the same row. I refuse to throw them away because maybe I’ll need them and maybe there will be some juice left when I do.
Putting batteries in the fridge/freezer is a myth. Think about your car in the winter…cold makes the battery perform worse and doesn’t extend life
@CraigDanger Heathen!
