BREAKING NEWS: 72 New Emojis

Unicode 9.0 is now official and it comes with 72 new emoji characters. The folks over at Emojione that provide our artwork have already updated their library. We dropped the update into Mehdown, the open-source Markdown parser we built for the meh.com forums and other mediocre.com websites. Here’s the updated emoji:

- @Kirgen That’s funny because my daughter’s new thing is that I am not suppose to cut the waffles up. Instead she fill’s all the squares with syrup and picks it up whole. My family is weird.

- @djslack I wouldn’t eat a desert if you paid me… hear they are quite dry!!! And French Toasts/Pancakes aren’t the same thing in a different shape – I would not argue that if it were waffles/pancakes.
  
  There are very few desserts that I say no to – anything with fake orange flavor…

- @mikibell I actually went looking for a photo of Mitch Hedberg saying “You can’t be like pancakes, all exciting and shit, but by the end, you’re fucking sick of 'em!” but found that one first and was differently tickled.
  
  The spelling irked me too, but was overridden by the effort needed to make my own versus linking that one.
