Bought the beer glasses last time for my father-in-law (a notoriously hard to please British chap) and he loved them. Better still none of them have broken yet. These make great gifts for super cheap. And that is me, super cheap.
@readnj Yeah, all four of the champagne glasses were smashed. There was no packing at all, they were just in a cardboard box inside of the shipping carton.

Also why the hell are they 124 on amazon. Camel shows a trend they were $70 before and just went up so its not just a current ripoff but a stable one while the others are all reasonably priced. Hows that happen.
@bph Potentially a seller who picks them up from time to time, very limited quantity, but is out of stock. Jack price to where no one buys so certain market rankings or some junk isn't affected by removing the listing or marking as unavailable. Another guess would be automatic pricing software that prices with a slight increase compared to other sellers. If multiple sellers do this, prices go up fast, and maybe they don't notice because it's not a popular enough item to care about. I dunno, these are just guesses from a random dude...
@aperfecttool72 I bought the pint glasses and the martini glasses the last time they came around. They packed them really well with paper and not a single one broke. Just sayin.
If the FUKOBUKURO taught me anything, it is that MEH does not know how to ship glass items. My Post office can attest to that as well, Glass coming out of every opening in the box.

@Konraden@TerriblyHuang a quick look in my bar guide states that an old fashioned glass is 6-10 oz, and a double old fashioned, or dof, is 12-16 oz. It's more to account for the extra 1-2 oz of booze rather than sheer doubling. And look at that, Wikipedia got something right.
@mehgrl just make a fancy name for whatever you pour in the glass. Like @RedOak's example of orange juice, it's now "Fresh Squeezed Liquid of Gold.. ish Color". Pinkies Up!!

I picked up the beer glass, the double old fashioned, and the cooler glasses last time. I really like the double old fashioned. Solid, clear, just the right weight. I feel bad when I just drink water out of them; they deserve more. If you're hesitating, just do it.
@snapster OK Since I have been a fan of yours since early Woot days (under a different name of course) I will take you at your word and order more. Last time the glasses weren't even wrapped they were just stuck in cardboard dividers in the box and then put in a shipping box with some padding. Customer service was great about it though and I did get a partial credit.
I got the Riserva Cooler glasses last time. While they arrived intact and seem to be good quality, I have one caveat about them. They are slightly tapered, smaller diameter at the top than at the bottom. A cold beverage causes condensation on the outside of the glass, combined with the tapered shape, it concerns me that it may easily slip out of my hand.
The heavy bottom on the beer glass is important to keeping the beer cold.
Also, Don't chill beer glasses. The C02 in the beer will liquify, and won't be as carbonated. The glass should be at room temperature, and the beer cold. The coldness of the beer will chill that heavy bottom and keep things nice and tasty.
@Kevin Uhh, where are you drinking so that the CO2 liquefies? This diagram clearly shows that you need 5x normal pressure to even sniff the possibility of liquid CO2, not to mention -70 degrees.
@Kevin@SSteve I will say this, there is a point at where the glass is too cold and the water parts of your beer will freeze out. I sent back a beer 3 times at Red Robin once because I had an iceberg in the middle of my beer.
I got the set of 6 old fashioned glasses last time-- the short, decoratively-carved looking ones. They arrived all intact and they look and feel very nice. No problem in the dishwasher.
I'm quite happy with the ones I bought last time here. Unfortunately, I have a problem with not having enough well designed containers to put more well designed containers of liquid into, and I do not have a giant container to put the container-container into. Meh, where is the deal-a-day for a large house with a ton of cabinets? Would it work, or would anyone buy? Would Jeff Bezos find such a paradigm shift to explosive growth as such a large a temptation that he'd have to eat meh like breakfast octopus?
Got to give Meh props. I ordered with trepidation this time since some were smashed last time.@snapster said "they got this fixed" and they did. The glasses this time were each individually wrapped in brown craft paper and the shipping box had lots of Texas Air. All perfectly intact and arrived in a few days. Well done Meh!! I love a company who learns from mistakes and Meh does. If you keep this up we may need to change the name....
I now have 2 sets of the double old fashioned (wife likes them for wine), and 1 set of the beer glasses. The beer glasses are nice- very solid, nice base, would not be out of place at a bar. Hoping to order 1 more set if/when these come up again...
I just received the Cooler and Double Old Fashioned glasses today. They did arrive safely, but one of my glasses from the Cooler set is defective. It seems that a broken piece from another glass is fused to the inside bottom of one of the glasses.
Overall though, I am happy with them. If they do come up again--I will buy some more.
I bought last time, and got a few breaks. I also understood that the packaging was fixed. Not so, 1 glass of a ypsilon 15.5 oz cooler broke and 1 glass of a selecta 9.5 oz old fashioned broke. I'll send a note to "halp", but a heads up that it didn't have much of a change for me.

What I really wanted to say is that you don't want your beer too cold, because it won't release its carbonation quick enough.
