Bonus Fruit Tree of the Day: South American Sapote
7
At the request of @ELUNO, here’s the South American sapote. I don’t know what it tastes like, but @ELUNO can tell you. I don’t know anything about how to grow it, but I bet @ELUNO does. Maybe @ELUNO can tell us about this fruit he’s obviously familiar with. Any post by @ELUNO would be more informative than I could be.
…Sorry @ELUNO. I’m not picking on you. I’m just not familiar with the fruit. But I’m not the only one who can post these–ya’ll can too!
If you’re offended @ELUNO, just remember @ed put me up to this and it’s not my fault.

This is your goatdom gig.
Whispering works fine.
@mike808
Maybe this one doesn’t taste like vomit.
I don’t know anything at all about the tree, but here is an informational video about how the fruit looks like!
@ELUNO Ah. All that and you didn’t know any more than I did. When you said you grew up eating cherimoyas and then suggested this other South American fruit, I figured you were from South America.
@Weboh That doesn’t make me a super tree expert!
@ELUNO No, but you can tell us how the fruit tastes, what it’s called in your native country, the dishes it’s used in, (if any) etc. It would be neat to get your perspective on all that. Obviously you like the fruit, so I assume it tastes good.
@Weboh The video did all of that! I think the guy did a good job at trying to describe the flavor. I wouldn’t have been able to do it.
The only thing he didn’t cover is any dishes it’s use on, which I don’t think it’s used on anything.
@ELUNO Ah, okay. I should have watched the video. I prefer to read about things, which is why all these posts are big walls of text.
