@sammydog01 the projector that comes in the box is not that great. It’s ok for really dark rooms and certain windows.
The clips are pretty cool though. If you happen upon a used projector that people would actually use for watching movies, grab it. I’ve seen amazing displays with those where they actually use them outside on mosquito netting to look like actual ghosts since the net is see through.
@djones1m Two comments? Like comments made in these forums? May I suggest using the “support” form. Did it have a warranty? Have you contacted the manufacturer? I believe Meh only handles DOAs.
@Kerig3 one of mine had the red laser die after 5 or 6 hours the first night. I purchased them back in November. I’ve emailed both the manufacturer and Meh. So far they have been radio silent.
Mrs. cengland0 bought hers for $40 with 20% off for $32 for a brand new one locally. This doesn’t seem like a good deal – especially for an out-of-season item.
@rman Out of curiosity were they the tricolor model? Usually the cheaper ones only have red and green lasers. The blue (actually 405nm blue-violet [Blu-Ray]) diodes drive the price up a bit, as they are more expensive to acquire than red and green diodes. This seems like a pretty good deal for an RGB model with a remote.
@cengland0 That should be obvious, but being it’s still 2017, nothing is “normal” anymore.
Hell, normal is so badly screwed up that my floor actually turned to lava!
Bought projector at Target for $14. Does snowflakes that are classy AF. Granted it’s a smaller projection area so most people would need two. Either way, still better than this deal. Meh.
We bought a pair of the ‘kaleidoscope’ multicolor 'projector’s from wallyworld. They’re inside the house on a tripod aimed at our largest ground floor window, which is covered in translucent film with snowflake patterns. What shows up outside is almost psychedelic.
@duodec I like it. I used a couple of similar ones that swirl to decorate my palm trees that are full of thorns unlike all my neighbors that just pointed them at their house walls. Not to mention, they’re Halloween colored (purple, green, orange) but when pointed at the trees, they look kinda rainbow.
My neighbour has one. The pinpoint lights on the darn thing come right in our kitchen window even tho it’s not pointed at our house. They are incredibly annoying. Don’t be so lazy and put up a string of lights. Bah humbug.
I bought one of these the last time they came up on Meh. For what they are, they look pretty good, and they’re a lot better than the outdoor decorations I had up before (which would be… nothing).

Really? Too soon…too soon…
@Stallion Or very late.
@Stallion Christmas is coming…
These things are so tacky. No thanks at any price.
@The_Tim Perfect xmas gift for the ex.
I don’t know, @The_Tim… my neighbor has it shining on her tree, and my 7yo loves it.
(I admit, I like that effect as well. Be cooler if they moved.)
Today I bought one of those WindowFX things and some extra Halloween clips. I can’t wait for October!
I did that last year, @sammydog01. Made for a fun Halloween this year
@haydesigner I’m gonna try out the fireworks on new year’s eve.

The one I bought in November stopped working already. Left two comments with Meh & I am still waiting for a response.

@cengland0 agree, Home Depot had these on sale for 29 brand new yesterday when I went in B&M.

Is that Blue Sky soda included?
Needs more Alexa.
Peeps. Mmmm.
This was a very “meh” item before Christmas. After Christmas it should be 50-75% off.
@Kerig3 I don’t even consider until 75% or more.
@narfcake Agreed!
Who buys Christmas decorations at retail???
@Kerig3 My thoughts exactly. It’s off season so should be greatly discounted.

This would be perfect for a Pink Floyd Christmas mashup. Too bad I’m not doing one of those.
I always wanted to be on the evening news. In for a pair for pointing into the flight path. (I knew buying a cheap home would pay off one day!)
I’m not interested unless they use 100W CO2 metal-cutting lasers. Got anything like that? Could be useful for home security.

A friend pointed out a house with a case of laser pox when laser pox was a comparatively rare condition.
I have been using the phrase “laser pox” a lot recently.
It would be embarrassing if my friends saw that I let my own house catch a case.
Half the people on my block have these. I want to be unique, what else you got?
@pcolachiller
Meh, these are usually free sitting near the curb. Seems most people just give them away yet have them on to show they work.

Who needs lasers? Especially static ones.

a better name for them should be “I’m too effin’ lazy to decorate my house” lights…
@fastharry Yup, that’s me.
@fastharry I actually call them “Lazy Beams” Or “Lazee Beams” depending on your spelling preference.
My neighbour has one. The pinpoint lights on the darn thing come right in our kitchen window even tho it’s not pointed at our house. They are incredibly annoying. Don’t be so lazy and put up a string of lights. Bah humbug.
BWAHAHAHAHAAAA! ‘Superior Holographic Technology’ sez the box… Superior Holographic MEH, sez I.

Nope
$15 at Big Lots and Bed Bath and Beyonce…
Just sayin…
Dumb trend. Though it does spotlight the houses where the really tacky people (and Clark Griswold) live…
Very overpriced. Walmart and Lowe’s had boxes of these yesterday making them $18-$40 brand new. That’s only 50% off, they will hit 75%.

Or, one could gather a bunch of these up and have an awesome 80’s Christmas laser rock show.
I was very disappointed that in the last photo, there isn’t a laser going through Irk’s forehead.

Hey Meh, I want one of these laser projectors…
Great lights, just don’t point too high. Airline pilots have no sense of humor.
