Interesting branding. It's both classic and wild at the same time. And I'm never quite sure what to think of names that end in "tec," as opposed to "tech."
a bit too expensive. wait for the ninjapro set to come back. I got that last time, it's great! comes with the cup and the big food processer and dough attachments too
@cengland0 Can you elaborate? I bought one of the refurb nutri ninja units and I have been using it 1 to 2 times everyday since then. I always do fresh fruit, sometimes spinach or kale, and then some frozen fruit to get everything cold.. So I've blended frozen strawberries probably 50 times and everything is still great! Did you perhaps use no water or other liquid or something? Or did you maybe accidentally find those mythical Strawngberries? (we've told you to stay away from faerie grove Chris). I imagine cengland0 means you are Chris who visited England 0 times. Ok low sleep babbling.. I'll stop here.
@gwrankin I use my blender to make soy protein smoothies every morning. Use orange juice, frozen strawberries, blueberries, mango, and a little peanut butter powder.
The strawberries are already frozen and very large when I buy them. They tend to get stuck on the jar between the jar and the blade and the Ninja Pro isn't strong enough to slice through it. So the unit gets stuck.
The first time, it caused the rubber "teeth" between the jar and the unit to break off. I got it replaced under warranty because it happened within the first year. The second time, it burned up the motor when it got stuck. I then upgraded to the Blendtec and it has never ceased up on a strawberry. The motor is so powerful that nothing will stop it from turning and pulverizes anything you put in it.
My name represents the first initial of my first name, then my last name. Plus the digit 0. My full name is Cary England. On some sites, cengland1 was already taken by someone else so I tried 2, 3, 4, 5, etc. Many of them were already taken so I tried 0 and nobody except me seems to have used it so that's what I use on all my social media now.
Not only have I visited England, I lived there back in the 70's. I first lived in Auchmithie Scotland then later moved to Edzell Scotland.
@thekenya Smoothies from blenders are better than what you get from juicers. No fiber loss, and whatever else you lose when you filter out all but the water and sugar.
@zippyus About the same. The Vitamix requires that you use a stick to shove materials close to the blade whereas the Blendtec uses a vortex to do the same.
@cengland0 Very true...if you assemble your smoothie properly (soft stuff on the bottom and harder and frozen stuff on the top) the vortex motion handles everything. This is an excellent deal--I have a more expensive model, but this one does everything that you would want a blender to do.
Meh did not give a close up of the buttons, but the Blendtec uses computer controlled cycles and not just a speed control. The smoothie cycle, for example, starts out slowly to chop everything up and then reaches what seems like supersonic speed to whip up your tasty little creation.
@zippyus the blendtec fits under the upper cabinets fully assembled. Some vita mixes are too tall. I've got over 2200 cycles on my blendtec. Best $300 I ever spent. The wildside jar is a must have, although for small quantities the standard jar may be better. Try boiling water in it...
@zippyus I've worked with both (for my own kitchen, and for work)... They're two very different tools that get compared all the time.
Since the sale is for Blendtec, I'll focus on it:
As mentioned, it fits under many cabinets. WAY more convenient than having to deal with packing into a cabinet, or elsewhere. This was one of the biggest issues that I have had with my VitaMix.
As the product description so articulately mentions, this has blunt blades, as opposed to "knifey" ones. This means that the end result is a little different. Where the VitaMix will act more like a traditional food processor, and mince things beautifully, the Blendtec is much better at handling many more solid foods, and pounding them into a pulp. Especially great for smoothies, soups, or making things like your own almond butter. Also much safer to clean, should you ever have to manually reach into the jar/blade assembly. And why bother with so much horsepower if all you have are sharp blades?
This features both a few manual control options (lacking on many earlier Blendtecs), as well as some automated controls. VitaMix, until very recently, was the exact opposite, with only manual control, until they just added a few programs on their higher end models.
Warranty on this is 8 years, and according to their company reps with whom I worked (I mentioned that I worked with them - I did some engineering research, and they're pretty thorough), they mostly chose the number just to beat out the VitaMix's 7 years. But they thoroughly expect that a vast majority of their products will live long past that marker.
The jars... This is where things kind of fall to crap if you're super picky about looks... Blendtec thoroughly expects you to replace your jar while under warranty at least once or twice - Again, this is from my discussions with company reps. It will slightly discolour (not unsafe) over time, but it was intentionally made to handle multiple types of torsional stress, and temperature variations without problems like cracking, or becoming brittle. Not a real downside, but something to know before buying.
Worth buying? Probably... If you want to blend anything; particularly non-food items, like iPads. And they work pretty well on actual food too :) That being said, this model is now officially discontinued, and is basically at the low end of the totem pole. So if you're comparing to a VitaMix, remember that this isn't the pro-level model, and choose whatever sounds best to you. My manufacturing/electrical engineering experience would all lead me back toward Blendtec at this point, but there are still caveats, and I do still love my aging VitaMix.
@mike808 It's anything but a unitasker. I've made pizza and cookie dough, peanut butter, and literally thousands of smoothies, milkshakes and mixed drinks. And I've cooked soup in it.
@Dweezle So, you've blended pizza dough. Blended cookie dough. Blended peanut butter. Blended smoothies. Blended milkshakes. I'm sensing the word "unitasker" does not mean what yoi think it means.
@mike808 A unitasker is something like a yogurt maker. You put cultured milk in it and wait. You cannot use it for anything but making yogurt. Unless you really have a hankering for some water heated to about 100º. I've used my Blendtec instead of a stove/microwave to cook soup, instead of a stand/hand mixer for cookie dough, instead of a food processor for peanut butter, and instead of a mill to crack barley and mill flour. So no, it is not a unitasker. Your "unitasker" sense is off.
@sammydog01 I just spin the blade by hand while holding it upside down over a bowl, and then scrape out whatever's left with one of those soft silicone scraper thingies. It's not the easiest to get everything out of the bottom corners, but it works for me (I usually just end up sticking my fingers in and eating anything I can't get out). For not-so-sticky stuff, I just thump the sides or bang it down on the cutting board a few times. It's pretty tough plastic.
@cercopithecoid It's a 1560 watt motor, really fucking tough plastic, blades that won't cut you when they're not running, and a seal that you don't have to take apart every time you use it. Definitely worth it, if you use a blender a lot, or want to.
@ptrjon@stinks I was only disappointed in that I already bought one here last year, for almost $30 more. It's gotten used almost every day since then. Definitely worth it.
People who want to compare this to a 40 dollar blender from Walmart clearly hate their own lives...
Ever wonder why your margaritas suck when the over priced beach ones are smooth and stay in solution for an hour?
It's because your cheap!
Real blenders should risk blowing a 15 amp circuit. These things use raw force to blend, as the blades are not even sharp. they just beat the living hell out of things.
@jemullins I will give you the benefit of the doubt. I guess there's this entire world of next level blending I know nothing about. I'm happy with my proleteriat smoothies.
We have the Costco model, and use it multiple times daily. I love that it's easy to clean because the blade is blunt and the jar is just one piece that doesn't come apart. It is not intimidated by frozen fruit and ice.
I have a refurb with the Starbucks jar and the "awesome" (?!) sound-deadening enclosure. It works great, years on. And if you spend (too damn much) extra dough on the "Twister" jar -- compatible with the model listed here -- it's great for extra-sticky/-thick concoctions as well e.g. peanut butter, hummus etc. The wild side jar needs a more fluid consistency for the vortex to form properly.
I have an expensive Waring blender and good blenders are awesome and life-changing and stuff but I have to admit I almost always use my meh.com 25$ Panasonic hand blender instead.
This seems to be a discontinued model without any automatic blend settings (it only has settings for blending speed). So you can't just push a button for your smoothie and walk away! The price you pay to get the cheap stuff.
But everything else is still top quality, so ehhhhn
@f00l I almost did when I saw it show up last night. But I can't justify another blender to myself, just on the "holy shit that's an awesome price" premise.
Amazon reviews are pretty lack luster but on the upside it is the 269th most popular item in the "Compact Refrigerators" category. I can only imagine someone's confusion out there.
@mfladd If you use a supreme blender that wont break, or want to do more stuff with a blender, or want a blender that can do food processing or grain grinding in a pinch, or want a blender you will never replace, that will break up all the ice you put in it, that will do everything you ask if it, that you can hand to your kids someday, this or the Vitamix. Only the Vitamix isnt $200 today.
@mfladd I never really used a blender more than once or twice a year until I got a Blendtec. It was always just such a pain in the ass to clean and store. The Blendtec jar doesn't come apart, you just blend hot soapy water in it, or wipe it down with some detergent and a washcloth if it's really greasy. I don't know how much that matters to anybody else, but I'm lazy as hell, so the cleanup afterward makes all the difference to me. I'd be buying this today if I hadn't got one just under a year ago.
@fuqspammers You beat me to my comment. However they mention that the 3HP is peak. Perhaps during start-up or during "extreme blending" it consumes 3hp which is 2238 watts, or 18.65A at 120v.
My Mom purchased a Vitamix in 1972. I thought my father was going to divorce my mother when he found out how much it cost. A few weeks later, when she started making him smoothies everyday, he finally agreed it was money well spent. Twenty years ago she decided she wanted a Blendtec so I got the Vitamix. I had to purchase a new blade assembly about 10 years ago. After being used daily for 44 years the Vitamix is still whirling away. Mom moved it with me last year, so I inherited the Blendtec. I put it in the attic. Someday I will need it ---maybe.
Yes, It is true the older Vitamix models don't fit under kitchen cabinets, as was mentioned in an earlier post. I just flip the lid over and it fits perfectly.
How many USB ports? Is it better than my vitamix? I want a blender than I can run with my Windows phone app. Something I can set to go off at 5 am M-F. I want to wake up to my breakfast smoothie
@jbartus The secret is use as much frozen things as possible. I only buy organic frozen fruit from Whole Foods. That way I know I am safe if I accidentally sleep in past 7. If I can't buy it frozen, I freeze it myself. Milk for example is kept in my freezer.
@jbartus I freeze it by the half pint. I use those milk containers from elementary school lunches. I used to buy those from Whole Food as well, until I found out it is far easier/cheaper to bribe the local middle schools lunch ladies.
@jbartus Just put the blender in your fridge. Drill a hole in back to run the cord through, caulk it up and done. Now that I think about it refrigerators should have an interior power socket....And USB ports.
@jmendenhall@Skotyman hey, we have smart watches and smart cars, why not smart fridges?!
@jmendenhall our freezer door shelves are kinda broken I will just have to get creative, maybe if the fruit is cold enough and in high enough relative volume it can keep the milk chilled all night?
@dashcloud that's a fridge with a tablet on the front. I want a smart fridge that keeps track of my produce drawer and warns me things are getting old before they go bad and makes meal recommendations based on my fridge contents and has USB ports and internal appliance power outlets.
@dashcloud I think your kid looks freezer-burned a little. Probably could just trim away the bad parts. Heck, with enough sauce, even a 10-year-old will taste like a toddler!
I think a much overlooked feature of the Blendtec is that you never have to take it apart like a normal blender. I almost never used my old blender because it was such a pain in the ass to clean it after every use. So it's especially awesome if you're lazy.
I own one and my parents own one. If the one I had wasn't so great, I would totally purchase another one. This is a great price. I throw whole apples, carrots, and frozen berries and get a perfect smoothie.
@hems79 yeah I dunno what happened, I got fed up with Meh after LED light rope sale 5 or 6 interwoven with cheapo smartwatch fever and fitbit wannabe clearance bonanza, then @mfladd summons me and it just happens to be this awesome blender. A meh as Meh can be a lot of the time, when they hit on a good item they really hit it.
@jbartus I tried numerous times to include a pic, but the site wouldn't let me - regardless of pic. If I am pic/gif banned I am doomed. But our recipes will continue.
dammit,dammit,dammit,dammit,dammit,dammit,dammit, I have not pulled the trigger in 9 days and been back on in at least 6 days and then this. How come all you guys and gals didn't buy them out??? After all it went on sale 25hrs and 15 mins ago, one last time, dammit. I try to forget I even own a credit card around 12am EST. creative-sassy-cheese. Hell I might as well go back and get the travel mugs as well... Cautionary advice to all the people out there that take their Adderall to late at night ( don't do it, especially if you frequent a site called "MEH" and have a VIP membership. Oh yeh almost forgot ( peppery-peppery-gum ) in for 2 sets of travel mugs as well. Got to get some sleep, off to visit the clinical phycologist first thing this morning.
@PocketBrain I made one of the strawberry banana smoothies in mine from the recipe book last night. It was smooth as can be except for the seeds from the blackberries in the frozen mixed berries I used in place of a cup each of strawberries and raspberries. Very pleased with this purchase.

Blendy, Bendy. Mehndy
Got mixed up feelings about this one.
Might give this a whirl.
Interesting branding. It's both classic and wild at the same time. And I'm never quite sure what to think of names that end in "tec," as opposed to "tech."
@MehnofLaMehncha
Perhaps it means "we make fun videos."
@MehnofLaMehncha It's blend-curious.
Bluetooth blender?
@mehhead no mention of bluetooth but I think it's safe to say that this is bluetooth compatible
@thekenya iOS blutooth compatibility confirmed:
a bit too expensive. wait for the ninjapro set to come back. I got that last time, it's great! comes with the cup and the big food processer and dough attachments too
@boygenius1991 I destroyed two Ninja Pros with frozen strawberries. My Blendtec is still working. Just saying...
@cengland0
Yeah, ninjas are practically disposable. The Keurig of the blender world.
@boygenius1991 Buy 25 ninjas at $100 each for a lifetime worth of blending or 1 blendtec at $200 for a lifetime worth of blending.
@cengland0 @MehnofLaMehncha So the Ninja Pro kales in comparison? I guess it's not very appealing.
@boygenius1991 I left a spoon in mine, turned it on and it still works after blending a metal spoon. It is also about 15 years old. Worth every penny
@boygenius1991 So how about a "will it blend" episode to see if a blendec can blend a ninja pro!

But... we just had a fruit pressing thing machine a couple of days ago
@thekenya
Smoothies from blenders are better than what you get from juicers. No fiber loss, and whatever else you lose when you filter out all but the water and sugar.
@Talidan buy them all and put them side by side in your kitchen counter!
It needs to be prettier for that price.
Ooooo, cool! - Just keep it away from Tiny Tub Mummy.
@KDemo any relation to tub girl?
@armchair tub girl.. A blast from the past!
@squirrelsuit your pun caused me to erupt with laughter.
@KDemo Still the best thread on Meh.
@DrunkCat - Agreed. Miss @Starblind's witty literary adventures.
how does it compare to a vitamix?
@zippyus About the same. The Vitamix requires that you use a stick to shove materials close to the blade whereas the Blendtec uses a vortex to do the same.
@cengland0 Very true...if you assemble your smoothie properly (soft stuff on the bottom and harder and frozen stuff on the top) the vortex motion handles everything. This is an excellent deal--I have a more expensive model, but this one does everything that you would want a blender to do.

@zippyus I havent used a Blendtec, but I purchased a Vitamix and it still works as well today as it did when i first got it...back in 1999. :)

@zippyus Blendtec sued Vitamix for ripping off their design back in 2006-ish. So they must be doing something right.
Better not, I'd keep trying to blend old electronics.
@cpierce then buy two?
Don't mind this meh, it's just trying to blend in.
@chacham Blend puns are a lime a dozen. A good one is one in a melon.
It Will Blend?
@gyozilla Blend it will, young padawan!
I can't mix payments so I won't be buying it
@somf69 You should be stirring instead.
Jesus, another waste of counter space unitasker. Meh.
@mike808 You can use the base as a meat tenderizer.

@Dweezle How easy it is to get cookie dough out of it? That's my main complaint about mixers- stuff gets stuck.
It's a motor, blades, seals and glass. And you want how much for it?
@cercopithecoid Actually, no glass. It's a hard plastic (Durable BPA-free copolyester)
@cercopithecoid Seals?
@awk The seal approves.
http://lookcuter.com/products/seal-of-approval
@awk Don't be an imbe-seal. You can't just post a pic like that without a good porpoise.
@gyozilla You otter be punished for that one.
@narfcake
@narfcake Whale you're just being a hippocrite. All my otter puns have totally been krilling it!
@cercopithecoid It's a 1560 watt motor, really fucking tough plastic, blades that won't cut you when they're not running, and a seal that you don't have to take apart every time you use it. Definitely worth it, if you use a blender a lot, or want to.
This deal is for those wanting to blend in --
Gallagher's Sledge-O-Matic would crush this blender!
Cheap Meh Shoppers staying up til midnight to see a blender that costs more than $100: -_-
@ptrjon Guilty. And disappointed.
Just going to leave this right here...
@ptrjon @stinks I was only disappointed in that I already bought one here last year, for almost $30 more.
@jemullins Don't you talk about MY cheap unless you want some trouble, other brother.
@jemullins I will give you the benefit of the doubt. I guess there's this entire world of next level blending I know nothing about. I'm happy with my proleteriat smoothies.
@jemullins My margaritas are PERFECT because they are as they should be - On the ROCKS with SALT. Blended margaritas are the devil.
@swmbo Blended margaritas are just slurpees for drunk moms.
@jemullins Poor boys like us shake it up with stainless steel cocktail shakers from the thrift stores
@swmbo
Much easier to get wasted that way too.
@f00l That's called the best of both worlds
@jemullins Got it. Dull and beats the crap out of things. Perfect for Fathers Day then?
@mike808 That made me laugh and then sad.
@stinks Theirs no animosity they're, bro.
We have the Costco model, and use it multiple times daily. I love that it's easy to clean because the blade is blunt and the jar is just one piece that doesn't come apart. It is not intimidated by frozen fruit and ice.
Let's be honest here it's a Blendtec with a WildSide for less than $200... just buy it.
... oh and get VMP... great value!!!!
@cshillaber Amazon sells just the wildside jar alone for $129.95 http://www.amazon.com/Blendtec-40-630-50-WildSide-Jar/dp/B0033WTB3O You get the blender for a couple dollars more than the jar alone.
@cshillaber I was wondering when star rating inflation will coming. As it was, you were giving 10 stars ... on a 1-5 scale. :)
@cshillaber
You're more fun when you're full of shit, but hey. It's cool.
@f00l Now now, every one of @cshillaber's reviews are as honest as Joe Isuzu ...
The wild side jar needs a more fluid consistency for the vortex to form properly.
and the definitive Android vs. iPhone argument put to rest:
I have an expensive Waring blender and good blenders are awesome and life-changing and stuff but I have to admit I almost always use my meh.com 25$ Panasonic hand blender instead.
@awk $25 doesn't seem like a good deal for something that can only blend hands. Doesn't that hurt?
@griotspeak No no, "hand" blender just means you use it for "hand" jobs.
@awk I use that thing every week myself... it has replaced the food processor for me... well unless doing large quantities.
@awk
Pix? "Hand" jobs?
Goodnight. Mehbe 2 for Tuesday will be worth sacrificing sleep over.
This seems to be a discontinued model without any automatic blend settings (it only has settings for blending speed). So you can't just push a button for your smoothie and walk away! The price you pay to get the cheap stuff.
But everything else is still top quality, so ehhhhn
Here's a handy conversion chart from Blendtec if you're buying this.
@heartbleed it does have the auto speed thingamajigs, it said so somewhere.
@cbattick95 Uh, where, exactly? Look at the pictures of the models. And pulse setting doesn't count.
There customer service was very nice when I needed a small part for their grain mill.
@radi0j0hn Where?
Still mixed up.
Great product, way better than the bullet and ninja blenders. On par with the Vitamix. Blendtec's rock!
We need a better mixture of products to select from.
Have 1. Great price. Should i get another?
@f00l I almost did when I saw it show up last night. But I can't justify another blender to myself, just on the "holy shit that's an awesome price" premise.
Amazon reviews are pretty lack luster but on the upside it is the 269th most popular item in the "Compact Refrigerators" category.
I can only imagine someone's confusion out there.
@PetroccoCo Well, I'm sure it CAN make ice cream.
Blendenkhamun? Hmmm. Makes me think there was a missed opportunity there. How about Blenderdämmerung?
passive-itchy-firefly
@f00l Crap. We currently have a ninja from Xmas (woot style). Talk me into or out of this.
@mfladd
If you use a supreme blender that wont break, or want to do more stuff with a blender, or want a blender that can do food processing or grain grinding in a pinch, or want a blender you will never replace, that will break up all the ice you put in it, that will do everything you ask if it, that you can hand to your kids someday, this or the Vitamix. Only the Vitamix isnt $200 today.
Forget the ninja, give it to someone. Get this.
@Dweezle @fool Thanks, I think :)
Love my Blendtec. And yes, it will blend. I have the one with the auto-magical speed/duration buttons though.
I'd grab this if I didn't have a vitamix. If you don't have a high end blender you should really hop on this deal and take it for a spin.
I bought one and it is all @mfladd's fault.
Will Roger Goodell Blend?
@jbartus I also need to place blame on @fool, @Dweezle for buying one of these!
RG smoothies - yuck (tastes bad for some reason)!
@jbartus
I dont wanna taste that. Sticking with trad veggie smoothies and magaritas.
@mfladd oh I wouldn't want to eat him, I just wonder if he'd blend. http://www.willitblend.com/
@jbartus
After you blended him, you would have to dispose of the contents (ick), and you might have to throw out the blender.
@jbartus No blaming @mfladd - he's not the goat this month. You may blame @medz, however.
@f00l I'm sure NFL fans everywhere would throw in to get me a new blender.
@narfcake you have my permission to blame @medz for my blaming of @mfladd but I'm still gonna hold @mfladd responsible for bringing me back.
Any E.E.s here want to explain how 1560 watts equals 3 H.P.? Otherwise, I think my high school physics teacher wants a word with the spec guys.
@fuqspammers Good point. My calculation says it should be 2.091994 hp.
@fuqspammers You beat me to my comment. However they mention that the 3HP is peak. Perhaps during start-up or during "extreme blending" it consumes 3hp which is 2238 watts, or 18.65A at 120v.
I did hesitate a bit before hitting the meh button. That doesn't happen often.
When can we get Irk's hat? That's pretty awesome. It kind of looked like Irk might have been blending the baby arm though...
Ugh, so much want, so little cash. I don't suppose Meh would send me one for my birthday right?
@Tiamat114 - Happy birthday!
@KDemo Thank you. Its one of the few Ill get today, and it means the world to me.
@Tiamat114
@Tiamat114
Sorry it's late.
@sammydog01 Thanks you!
@Tiamat114 Please also accept my belated Happy Birthday wishes!
@mfladd Thank you! I guess its weird I got a happier birthday from Meh than irl even if I didn’t get a fuku, you guys rock!
uugh i havent seen anything good on meh since forever, I used to actually want to buy stuff but now? MEH.
Will a Blendtec blend a Blendtec? Have they tried?
@f00l
If I order this, I hope they don't blend me the wrong thing because of a mixup.
My head is spinning! When it grinds to a stop I'll decide chop chop!
Red. Yeah, red. Even tho i dunno if it's Georgia Red.
Even tho it really should be Burnt Orange or Bluebonnet Blue.
Not so skoocum.
@WINTERMUTE Ya, but does it chooch, eh?
How many USB ports? Is it better than my vitamix? I want a blender than I can run with my Windows phone app. Something I can set to go off at 5 am M-F. I want to wake up to my breakfast smoothie
@jmendenhall how do you keep the ingredients fresh while you sleep?
@jbartus The secret is use as much frozen things as possible. I only buy organic frozen fruit from Whole Foods. That way I know I am safe if I accidentally sleep in past 7. If I can't buy it frozen, I freeze it myself. Milk for example is kept in my freezer.
@jmendenhall if the milk is kept in your freezer how do you pour it? Pre-measure before freezing?
@jbartus I freeze it by the half pint. I use those milk containers from elementary school lunches. I used to buy those from Whole Food as well, until I found out it is far easier/cheaper to bribe the local middle schools lunch ladies.
@jmendenhall nice! Sadly freezer space is at a premium in our house. I'll have to come up with my own idea.
@jbartus Just put the blender in your fridge. Drill a hole in back to run the cord through, caulk it up and done. Now that I think about it refrigerators should have an interior power socket....And USB ports.
@Skotyman @jbartus. Now we are talking IoT.
@jbartus the half pints are very small. You should be fine with 5 in the freezer per week. Mine fit in the freezer door.
@jmendenhall @Skotyman hey, we have smart watches and smart cars, why not smart fridges?!
@jmendenhall our freezer door shelves are kinda broken I will just have to get creative, maybe if the fruit is cold enough and in high enough relative volume it can keep the milk chilled all night?
@jbartus I know you're trying to make a joke, but they have them and it's terrifying:
@dashcloud that's a fridge with a tablet on the front. I want a smart fridge that keeps track of my produce drawer and warns me things are getting old before they go bad and makes meal recommendations based on my fridge contents and has USB ports and internal appliance power outlets.
@jbartus This was 5 years ago, so what you're asking is possible ...
http://www.gizmag.com/lg-smart-fridge/18502/
@narfcake I'm not sure that's as automated as I have in mind but that's still super cool. Thanks for the link!
@dashcloud I think your kid looks freezer-burned a little. Probably could just trim away the bad parts. Heck, with enough sauce, even a 10-year-old will taste like a toddler!
@PocketBrain don't worry, there's a microwave setting to take care of all that nasty freezer burn!
@jbartus :-( My microwave only goes from Toddler -> Fogey. Probably so they can sell it in Europe.
I think a much overlooked feature of the Blendtec is that you never have to take it apart like a normal blender. I almost never used my old blender because it was such a pain in the ass to clean it after every use. So it's especially awesome if you're lazy.
This is a great product and a great price. Meh rarely has deals like this for products of this quality. Don't pass on this one.
@sidewinder3000 Damn you. I have been putting this off. And then you come up with this post!
thriving-queasy-vegetable
though I prefer...
I own one and my parents own one. If the one I had wasn't so great, I would totally purchase another one. This is a great price. I throw whole apples, carrots, and frozen berries and get a perfect smoothie.
Stop making me want one people!
@sammydog01
You want one. Sorry.
@sammydog01 one of us one of us
Coming from someone that vowed that they would leave this website and never order anything again....

@hems79
We just cant help ourselves....

@mfladd hey, now we can concoct game day recipe ideas together!
@jbartus I tried numerous times to include a pic, but the site wouldn't let me - regardless of pic. If I am pic/gif banned I am doomed. But our recipes will continue.
OOOohhhhh.... dammit. Bitten by the VMP Last Call.

nerdy-unoccupied-nose should have steered clear. But instead, in for 1.
dammit,dammit,dammit,dammit,dammit,dammit,dammit, I have not pulled the trigger in 9 days and been back on in at least 6 days and then this.

One of us, one of us.
Tested it by placing two trays of ice in the thing. Sno-cones in forty seconds. Legit.
@PocketBrain I made one of the strawberry banana smoothies in mine from the recipe book last night. It was smooth as can be except for the seeds from the blackberries in the frozen mixed berries I used in place of a cup each of strawberries and raspberries. Very pleased with this purchase.
