Usually black friday is a fairly relaxing thing, weaving around people in the store. Usually only a couple of things that I want to grab. This year I corrected my TV deficit in the house, replacing a couple of broken ones on the cheap. I can finally take that 9 year old broken TV off the wall.
@dptalia Very cool, unaware of the first or last (beyond having heard of h&t). My best friend and I are in a bit of a Carcassonne rut (not a bad rut, mind you), so I’m thinking for my board game birthday party: Cacao, Elevenses, Deception: Murder in Hong Kong, Evolution, and Deep Sea Adventure.
Actually, Iove working the day after Thanksgiving. Don’t give up a day of leave, and there’s so many fewer fools around at work to ruin my day. Its nice and quiet, and I can watch the football games on my computer because no ones paying any attention to what I’m doing…
… be glad Thanksgiving is a Thursday holiday so most of us get a four day weekend.
@Tin_Foil Which is as good a reason as any to basically say ‘fuck it’ for the rest of the week.
@Tin_Foil Might as well take off Wednesday and make it a 5-day weekend. That’s what I usually do.
@smyle
Why don’t you just add the following Monday for a day to process the fact that Thanksgiving is over?
@PlacidPenguin
One local employer gives anyone who claims to be traveling and requests it Monday off as well. (Avoid traffic and clogged airports).
Done on the honor system.
Travel.
Our flight was cancelled early on Thursday AM and we had to throw dinner together at home in only a few hours.
We pulled it off though!
So maybe I’ll finally get to go where I was going soon.
Go to work because hardly anyone else will be there.
@katylava Will you still be up at 3AM??? <insert cheesy grin here>
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
There’s nobody I need to buy stuff for, so I just sit back and watch everybody else just panic and get stuff frantically.

Work. Someone has to sell the shit people want to buy.
Hunting and mountain biking. Opting outside while people fight over cheap crap!
@TMoore No hunting or biking, but backpacking and hiking. I love the outdoors.
Packing up the house. I’m moving in 2 weeks.
@looseneck You really know how to have fun, don’t you?
@OldCatLady OK Miss Smarty Pants, that costs you one day of helping me move. Beer and pizza will be served.
@looseneck -and I’ll be there, smiling and handing out longnecks.
Black Friday is no big thing because it is now Black November.

Black Friday matters.
@Crood BLUE fridays matters

I host a board game marathon every black Friday. Everyone is welcome to come.
@dptalia Do tell what’s being played today so we can live vicariously…
@brhfl Hare and Tortoise, King of Tokyo, Power Grid, Carcasone, and Schroedinger’s Cats

@placeholder That gif is perfect; its just what our Amber dog used to do.
It’s a good day to hang up Christmas lights.
It’s a really good day to go grocery shopping. With everyone at home in a food coma, there are no lines, for once.
My favorite deals are the straight up “X% off your online order” coupons. No bullshit, just get your crap cheaper today.
