HEY----glancing through. is this a self contained apparatus? I read something about internal memory? So much reading to do, quickly. What do people use these for? webcam? puty in window spy on neighbors? the second interests me the most I guess
I can give one to a coworker and walk away, and then start playing and they have no idea what the fuck. Ten bucks is not expensive for that kind of entertainment.
@thismyusername I haven’t bought anything in 7 months (almost to the day) and this is what I settle for…I don’t need another flashlight and have no real need for the camera but put them together and…SOLD haha
@fuzzmanmatt cheap dash cams suck, everything under 100 dollars seem to never be able to get anything close to a shot of peoples license plates, and night time is non existent
I went back and read the write-up, and I see this matter has been dealt with appropriately. Still confusing because now i have to watch some movies I’ve never heard of to determine my true favorite before the circuit breaker trips. Wish me luck!
This would be a good present for my brother-in-law. Deciding between the 606FC and the 626FC. If they were $15 each, I would buy both. Instead, I need to choose one.
@JT954 For the few extra bucks, you definitely have a better chance of being satisfied with the images. Also, that one can do 720p/60fps which can be slowed down more smoothly than 30fps.
Since I can’t find a review on the flashlight one I’m gonna cancel my order. Unless the buyer stops buy to convince me that it’s not a piece of crap. I’m waiting.
@Thumperchick It’s almost a review- most users “love this thing” but I guess I’ll pass. Thanks for trying though. And I’ll let you guys slide on the video since it was probably going to be a repeat of yesterday’s, but don’t let it happen again.
Do the pics for these BIOS cams almost seem to have a not so subtle adult layout or conveyance to them or is it just me?
Maybe I should stop browsing FetLife before switching over to Meh life.
Help! I bought 2 of these 10.0 bulletcams some time back but the CD for software doesn’t load. Does anyone know where to get the software? It’s useless without it.
@Saddened ahhh! never tried that!
I also noticed last time there was some firmware updates at their website, but since then they have transformed (or pivoted?) from an action cam company to a medical company… weird.
on second thought I do think I connected one to a linux machine and it acted as a webcam, not sure I ever got an image from it (was playing with it and zoneminder)
@thismyusername Maybe medical company was the goal all along. Take a bullet shaped waterproof camera, make it half the size and call it a medical camera. Now you can charge 10 times as much.
Heist movies are my favorite genre, and Point Break is one the most iconic ones ever made.
So there’s no way that it’s a mere coincidence that they’re selling these cams today, allowing me to pull off the most ultimate heist of all: getting the top-end $30 626FC model out of my Fuko, which conveniently fell off a truck just a few hours ago.
Why can’t you guys get good deals on crap people want? Like yi action cams and security cams. They are already cheap and better than GoPro. You get a high end you action camera for less than 45 and I’m in
I don’t understand what these are for. Do you use them like GoPros? or is there some sex thing I am missing? I feel like I am missing something in my life if I can’t figure out what to use a $10 bullet shaped camera for.
If you’re interested, Amazon has the CHUNNUO 50-in-1 Outdoor Sport Camera Accessories Bundle for a low $9.49 after Coupon Code: “K3F4XN62” (Exp Soon). Free Shipping over $25 or with Amazon Prime. Currently on sale for $19 ($60 list), so you save an extra 50% off.
Meh hardly ever sells anything I want, but I keep coming back for the great descriptions. Good job on that, folks.
(And not selling anything I want is no slam on you, I don’t want many things, and most of what I want and don’t have is things that don’t exist, like a flexible keyboard that comes in two halves connected by a wire, or a standalone trackpoint mounted on a glove such that you can steer it with your thumb and click with your middle finger, or a reasonably priced 1080p HDMI monocular display.)
@dave(?) There’s a breakdown in the “duplicate the Meh copy” strategy when pricing is addressed in the copy on Morningsave but is not updated to reflect Morningsave pricing.
Got the flashlight/camera. Can’t tell if the IR LEDs are lit, but only three of the regular LEDs are lit. I’ll have to try it in the dark. The camera works, but I still haven’t fully figured out the three button controls. The “driver” disk has no manual, and the BIOS web site is useless for these old products. The “box” it came in was in some sad shape. Glad it was cheap.
@sgartner Just got mine today. Definitely a returned product. Box all messed up, parts baggies crumpled and the strap is damaged. I have it plugged in right now; we’ll soon see if it works.
@davidd13 Considering the state of the packaging on the LED camera, I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that it was a warranty return they just resold. Pretty disappointing, even for a cheap little camera.
@sgartner After banging the flashlight a bit the fourth LED came on, so it’s a lose connection in there. If I get a wild hare I’ll take it apart and see if it just needs some re-soldering. The video quality isn’t great, but it’s what I expected from the specs. I haven’t tried it only using the IR LEDs, that’s my next test, but I can see them on the video reflected in a mirror, so they work fine.
The audio is really, really terrible, I can barely understand myself talking to the flashlight. I don’t know where the hole is for the sound, maybe behind one of the buttons?
Obviously, there’s no real point in reviewing these as the company isn’t making them anymore, but I just needed to get it off my chest.
@sgartner Definitely a prior return. It took a charge overnight, but will not accept a micro-sd card. It just pops right back out, plus some other signs of use, such as the charging cable and charger not wrapped or banded. I have contacted customer service. I am really bummed out because I was really looking forward to walking around at night with this thing looking for critters
OK, got the Bullet Cam HD 10.0. The camera works, seems to have a reasonable picture for video. Stills are not pretty. Came with two batteries, only one will charge, the charging light won’t even come on for the dead one. Came with a package of stuff, I haven’t inventoried it all. First glance it seems to be complete.
Two out of two partially broken, not a good percentage. The second camera was significantly more expensive than the first.
FOR THE FLASHLIGHT ONE ONLY (I think it’s a mic hole on the other ones) the hole below the microsd slot on the left is indeed a reset button. mine wouldn’t charge until I reset it. flashlight one only… you will likely destroy your mic on the others so don’t.
My laptop doesn’t have a CD/DVD drive and it appears the domain biosactioncam.com (listed on the CD) has been bought by Bios Medical. Does anyone know where to obtain the software? According to the instructions you need it to use it to record to your PC.
“hey let’s make a cool camera that is also a flashlight!
let’s make sure it’s not good as a flashlight, and make the camera as bad as possible!”
like others, I have to agree that the box is pretty gnarly, it looks like it had at least 3 stickers applied then removed and a pretty good layer of storage dust
meh.
suggested meh price: $5
here is my quick guide:
flashes red while charging, solid red when charged
the top button (light bulb symbol)
1st click normal led on
2nd click IR led on (button turns yellow)
3rd click off
the middle button (power symbol)
hold for power button
off – no light
on – red light
once on the middle button is “snap pic” (led turns green then back to red) if not recording
the bottom button (play symbol)
record
1st click record video (led turns green)
2nd click stop record video (led turns red)
reset button left side below the microsd slot.
If you want to set the time create a text file called
"time.txt"
and inside it put the date and time in the following format:
2017.05.08 22:51:00
place that file on the microsd card and it should set its time when you power it up (this works for all the bios cams I have not just the flashlight one)
seems to work ok with a 16GB card even though they say 8GB max.
Mine came with a busted battery. Completely useless. How do I return this crap? It was clearly used/returned. Dirty, unpackaged & broken. Time for credit card charge back?
@4q1 go to your orders by clicking on the person in a circle icon at the top of the screen, then click on “I need help with this” to contact support. Or go to meh.com/support to contact them there.
The 1080p bullet cam came NIB and seems to work as advertised. No complaints there for the price.
As with the other comments here, my flashlight cam was opened and re-taped. It was missing the mount. I charged it for 24 hours and the red light never stops blinking. Recorded something that’s supposed to resemble a video. It’s a field of gray with shapes moving around in it and the occasional bright area with rainbow fringes. The audio sounds like you are listening to the neighbors through a wall…not that I’ve ever done that. The thing won’t even function as a useful paper weight or door stop. If returns aren’t possible I may just try building it into a laser for the cat because the housing is decent.
Yep, my 1080p bullet cam seems to be NIB as well, but the flashlight cam looked like a return. It charges up, but doesn’t “turn on” properly, so cannot take pictures or video… works as a really expensive, but weak flashlight though as long as I don’t accidentally hit the “power” button, then it won’t stop glowing red till I put a “sim card” door picker in the reset hole.
I contacted Meh support yesterday about it… have not heard back… yet.
@bbf The day after I posted the above message, I got a nice reply from meh customer support stating that they had run out of replacement units for the 600FC, so asked me if a refund would be OK.
I’d say that I got timely responses and was given great service and got a bonus joke that put a grin on my face from Thomas, the support dude.
Mine is DOA. Tried letting charge over a few days and if I push the button while it’s plugged in a blue light comes on but once i unplug it it’s dead. My shark handheld vac also came DOA. What’s up with all the DOA items Meh?
@madmod20061 Say it isn’t so, bro! I bought this as a Christams present, and had to search meh to find out what it is I bought,(Model 601FC). I hope my nephew has some fun with it. Looking at it, it looks old-school and clunky, but if it lasts for a few ski runs, and maybe he sends me the vids, that will be cool.
I’m really wishing I would have bought 2 of a lot of meh things, as I’m hating giving them away. (Except for the poo-dough, which I must have been outta my mind that night. Who da heck can I give that to?)

Which one, uh, vibrates?
@irishbyblood you missed that sale
@communist Ummm, there’s a camera in there?
@irishbyblood That might be the Dirty Dancing choice.
@irishbyblood None of them. These have straps, so a strap-on will have to do.
@mehcuda67 plus a drone, a charger, and shark steamer…just dont press the wrong buttons
HEY----glancing through. is this a self contained apparatus? I read something about internal memory? So much reading to do, quickly. What do people use these for? webcam? puty in window spy on neighbors? the second interests me the most I guess
nevermind. I’m trying to learn as quick as I can.
The $10 cam would have been a better use of $10 than what I spent on those fidget spinners in the meh-rathon.
@lljk Completely Agree!
@lljk Those fidget spinners are great.
I can give one to a coworker and walk away, and then start playing and they have no idea what the fuck. Ten bucks is not expensive for that kind of entertainment.
a led flashlight AND a camera… oh meh why do you do this to me…
@thismyusername I know, I really want to film deer at night. But twenty bucks?
@sammydog01 shhh let me have buyers remorse once I use it, not before
@thismyusername Do you promise to report back? Tanga has it for $25 so if it’s totally freaky I may still be able to get one.
@sammydog01 will do.
@thismyusername I haven’t bought anything in 7 months (almost to the day) and this is what I settle for…I don’t need another flashlight and have no real need for the camera but put them together and…SOLD haha
@sammydog01 More likely you’d film fifteen does and five bucks - deer gender ratio skews female.
@ravenblack
@sammydog01 you made the correct decision. its very very cruddy… not a good flashlight, not a good camera. my mini review
Add a knife to the equation and you’ve got a sale, buddy!
@awk I bought one even with no bluetooth.
“My wife has a drawer full of these already… O wait. They’re cameras.”
@Coldwyn lmao
@Coldwyn I guess this is the wrong forum to upload those?
I’d buy a $10 dash cam, but I don’t think there will do that very well… Durn.
@fuzzmanmatt cheap dash cams suck, everything under 100 dollars seem to never be able to get anything close to a shot of peoples license plates, and night time is non existent
@fuzzmanmatt if I remember correctly, these are not good for that, but I can’t recall why… perhaps they wont record while charging?
This deserves a nomination in the “most difficult to navigate” category in the Meh hall of mediocrity (fame is too strong a term).
I went back and read the write-up, and I see this matter has been dealt with appropriately. Still confusing because now i have to watch some movies I’ve never heard of to determine my true favorite before the circuit breaker trips. Wish me luck!
@djslack If you’ve honestly never seen some of those movies, then why the hell are you wasting time on Meh? You’ve got work to do, son!
@ninnymuggins Turns out it was only Youngblood I’ve never heard of. I blame option overload for my confusion.
Any worthy of a dash cam?
@jml326 I don’t think they can be charged while recording if I remember correctly, I will try to grab the one I purchased in previous sale and check.
Is a nighttime freak show worth $20? I can’t decide.
@sammydog01 A good nighttime freak show will set you back $30, easy.
Why would they make them that shape? Are they waterproof?
@Pantheist I still think that the chinese mfg partner took the term “bullet cam” too literally.
@Pantheist for use in Motorsports like motorcycle riding etc…
@tightwad I would imagine it would be uncomfortable to ride a motorcycle with one inside you. Do you take it orally?
@Pantheist These are seat mounted.
@Pantheist You can always stick it in your ear, the design facilitates that.
So the 1080P doesn’t come with a charger, as per the chart?
@Achromatter But the pic shows a charger, so… hmm. Dunno!
@ruouttaurmind - Yes, I saw that as well, confusing…
Fish eye? Stink eye.
This would be a good present for my brother-in-law. Deciding between the 606FC and the 626FC. If they were $15 each, I would buy both. Instead, I need to choose one.
@JT954 1080p, definitely.
@ruouttaurmind Thanks. Bought.
/image voracious-plump-bun
@JT954 For the few extra bucks, you definitely have a better chance of being satisfied with the images. Also, that one can do 720p/60fps which can be slowed down more smoothly than 30fps.
Since I can’t find a review on the flashlight one I’m gonna cancel my order. Unless the buyer stops buy to convince me that it’s not a piece of crap. I’m waiting.
@sammydog01 you’re getting spoiled with all this employee interaction…
@Thumperchick Too true. By the way, WHERE’S MY VIDEO OF THE DAY?
@sammydog01 So, I don’t see a group of purchaser reviews, but I did find this.
@sammydog01 Uhh… video? Who does those?
<.<
>.>
@Thumperchick It’s almost a review- most users “love this thing” but I guess I’ll pass. Thanks for trying though. And I’ll let you guys slide on the video since it was probably going to be a repeat of yesterday’s, but don’t let it happen again.
@sammydog01 There is now a video. You have to watch it again, even though it’s a rerun.
@sammydog01 I just noticed the FOV spec: 70*FOV is WAY too narrow. You chose wisely to pass this one by.
@ruouttaurmind Yay for me!
@Thumperchick Done. And I enjoyed it almost as much as the first time.
Do the pics for these BIOS cams almost seem to have a not so subtle adult layout or conveyance to them or is it just me?
Maybe I should stop browsing FetLife before switching over to Meh life.
@saysaythings Dunno, this looks like pretty standard camera accessories to me.
Are any of these waterproof?
@ESQuireTech
625FC/605FC/606FC are waterproof to 3m/10ft
no idea about the others.
pretty sure the waterproof cap blocks the mic, so if you needed mic recording and waterproof this might not be the solution.
I wish they werent all so wide FoV, the only decent one is 480 which simply won’t work for me. I ordered the 1080 anyway.
Help! I bought 2 of these 10.0 bulletcams some time back but the CD for software doesn’t load. Does anyone know where to get the software? It’s useless without it.
@Saddened I never installed any software, what do you need the software for?
@thismyusername using as a webcam
@Saddened ahhh! never tried that!
I also noticed last time there was some firmware updates at their website, but since then they have transformed (or pivoted?) from an action cam company to a medical company… weird.
on second thought I do think I connected one to a linux machine and it acted as a webcam, not sure I ever got an image from it (was playing with it and zoneminder)
well now we know why they are here.
Vaya con Dios, Meh, vaya con Dios.
Why isn’t the caliber listed for these bullets?
/youtube hornady bullet cam
@djslack I remember watching this when it was first released. Took a minute for me to realise the significance of the date vs. a product announcement.
@ruouttaurmind The anniversary of the Kennedy assassination?
/what? too soon?
Not even going to waste $10 here, good try Meh, good try.
Battery wouldn’t last 5 minutes on the last one. Hard pass.
The last Swayze movie choice should be To Wong Foo, where you buy ALL of the cameras cause you’re not quite sure which one is made for you.
@Tracy4000 mostly people hide them in public bathrooms, I think.
