@yakkoTDI Yes It gives me GAS (Imagine that that CO2 gives me gas) & it comes out the wrong way (the rump) also tears up my tummy. I don’t process it the way you do. It is better for me not to drink anything like that. So I started weaning my self off Sodas 1978 & by 1980 I was CO2 free! I have Never look back or missed it!
I like different flavors in different brands. Strawberry in Waterloo, nectarine lemon in Polar, guava or grapefruit in La Croix, pineapple in Soleil. Etc.
@Kyeh Worst seltzer water I ever had was Waterloo Mojito Mocktail. I couldn’t even give it away. No wonder Whole Foods had it at a greatly reduced price. I left it on my porch during the late winter and one morning I woke up to find exploded cans all over the place.
@ItalianScallion I got that too! I ended up watering plants with it.
Although I had another awful Waterloo - blueberry, which was on clearance at Target. Also terrible.
@Kyeh@luseruser I saw it at my local Whole Foods (pie, not cake, my mistake) for the first time this week. It’s fluffy and orange-y and the crust is good, but it’s too sweet for me. I’m going back to their coconut cream or chocolate cream pies. Not one bite of it will go to waste, though!
@ItalianScallion@luseruser I see. It might be something to try to duplicate at home, with less sugar. My faves at WF are their cherry pie and the divine Chantilly cake.
Topo’s my favorite and I used to buy several cases of sparkling water per week. Now I make my own bubbly with a kegerator, corny kegs and full-size CO2 tank using water from my RO system. I call it Troypo Chico
@troy You reminded me that I have to start using my Sodastream machine again instead of buying and lugging cases of sparkling water home from the supermarket. With the demise of Bed, Bath and Beyond I have to another place to exchange cylinders.
@jkawaguchi Here’s a story about San Pelligrino: After surgery due to a porch collapse accident quite a few years ago, I ended up sedated and on a feeding tube for a couple of (maybe three?) weeks. Naturally, my swallowing muscles got weak, so I was on pureed food and thickened liquids. I was craving(!) not beer or wine, but ice-cold San Pelligrino sparkling water! When the speech therapist (they do swallowing rehab too) said I could finally drink ordinary liquids, my dear mom presented me with just what I’d been waiting for! It was wonderful!!
Between Saratoga Springs to San Pelligrino I can’t tell what’s what. I’ll go with whatever is on sale and I’ll add a hint of grapefruit juice for aroma.
Brian Seltzer!! Oh wait…
Alka.
None. They all taste like what I imagine licking the bottom of a foot would taste like.
@kittykat9180 bubbly?
@ragingredd what does bubbly taste like? I would consider that more a texture thing, not a taste.
Ranch Water
Isn’t that what the Three Stooges spray on each other? Maybe I am dating myself.
None of them. Give me actual soda!
Spindrift
@ItalianScallion
Seconded
@jitc But I usually buy store brand (Stop & Shop or Trader Joe’s) because Spindrift is so expensive and rarely on sale.
@ItalianScallion I buy it at Costco. It seems perennially on sale.
I say none of them! I don’t drink anything with CO2 in it!no matter what it is!!!
@mycya4me Any particular reason?

@Kyeh I think we should stop talking about Waterloo seltzer. We don’t want to give Meh any ideas…
@ItalianScallion Hah. I do like their strawberry.
Polar’s Orange Vanilla is like a creamsicle w/o the sugar.
/showme a giant orange creamsicle.
@luseruser It also mixes well with this.
@luseruser That’s one of their best flavors!
@luseruser Here’s a variation on a creamsicle, but in a bowl: orange cream cake from Whole Foods with vanilla ice cream.

@ItalianScallion @luseruser Whole Foods makes orange cream cake??
@Kyeh @luseruser I saw it at my local Whole Foods (pie, not cake, my mistake) for the first time this week. It’s fluffy and orange-y and the crust is good, but it’s too sweet for me. I’m going back to their coconut cream or chocolate cream pies. Not one bite of it will go to waste, though!

@Kyeh @luseruser Oh yeah, their cherry pie is good, blueberry pie too. I have to try their Chantilly cake! Thanks!
@ItalianScallion @luseruser It’s a good one for birthdays or other festive events!
@Kyeh @luseruser I might declare tomorrow or Sunday to be a festive event at my house!
Polar has lots of flavors, and Schweppes is another we regularly consume

San Pellegrino or Perrier ice cold, with a bit of lemon is a perfect cool down drink in this too hot weather. No sugar!

I buy Wegmans brand, it’s four bucks a dozen and they have maybe 15 different flavors.
None. I’ll quietly sit here with my cider, thanks.
Clearly Canadian
@KSes2
Thank you I was wondering if I was only a northeast thing
