dawg us was amazing and jordan peele is a dope director, but the lighthouse was a beautiful achievement of cinema and defoe and pattinson brought their damn a games
@chubbypapaya I really liked Get Out but I thought us lost it’s way halfway through and got totally nonsensical. So the government built a bunker that house experimental clones BELOW sea level, with access from a beach fun house… nah dude
@sammydog01 it still hasn’t opened at mine. The guy at the theatre says it updates every Tuesday. I can only hope this Tuesday it shows up. They had the poster in the lobby, so I’m hopeful.
@RiotDemon I went to see The Lighthouse. It was… I have no idea what it was. What the fuck was it? I’ll go see if Wikipedia has a page on it yet. I wish I had gone to see The Addams Family instead. Or pretty much anything else playing.
@sammydog01 oh no. I was afraid of that. I think the dude that did The VVitch directed it. That was weird too.
I really want to see Pattinson, so I’ll still see it if it shows up at my regal. I won’t be driving the 30 minutes to the other theatre that’s showing it.
I’ve only seen chapter 2 out of that list. I want to see the lighthouse but it’s not playing at my local regal. Missed Us. No desire to see Midsommar. Scary stories is still playing but I haven’t gotten around to it. Never even heard of Ready or Not.
@RiotDemon Ready or Not was a game of hide and seek to the death. It was fun. Scary Stories was pretty good too. They’re worth seeing for free if you get the chance.
I just went to see The Current War. It was really interesting.
@RiotDemon It stars Benedict Cumberbach and that guy from The Shape of Water. It’s based on fact but shows like a drama. If you don’t know the ending it’s pretty exciting. But you probably know the ending. It’s still fascinating.
I went to see Countdown today. It was way in the back theater and I was the only one there.
A half hour in the screen went dark. Everything was dark. So, so dark. And I was alone. So, so alone.
So I found my way to the door and the lights were on in the hall. Then they started to go out. One at a time. NOOOOOO!
I got to the lobby and the concession people were there along with the manager who was running around in circles. The power was out in the whole shopping center. I got a return ticket which I can use for my son to see Zombieland. Score! Plus I get a free popcorn as a promotion for buying a ticket to Countdown. And if I go see another crappy movie, I don’t remember which one, I get a free copy of the movie so I can watch the ending at home.
@RiotDemon it was OK- I may go back tonight to see the end. Movies in the back theater often go away. And, second, I was standing in the lobby when someone came out the other corridor with their phone light on when I realized I was stupid.

I watched a new Netflix show this weekend called, ‘Daybreak,’ and I’m a fan! It is a humorous take on the apocalypse style show. It’s a mix of Z Nation, Zombieland and for the young folks, Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide. The cast revolves around high school kids and Matthew Broderick lol.
Show: Daybreak
Site: Netflix
Why you should watch: If you like fun, apocalypse style shows, Daybreak is for you. Closer on the spectrum to Z Nation than the Walking Dead and doesn’t take itself too seriously. Has fun characters and a crazy plot, but it hooked me in episode 1.
Personal Rating: 8/10 BOC’s
Thanks @manlapig! It’s been pretty good for a lark.
EDIT: All you tolerant haters out there will love the bad guy is named “Baron Triumph”
Politics on the nightly news. Because it’s real life.
Toy Story 4.
I generally don’t watch them. Sorry.
I don’t know any!
The ongoing catastrophe that is our flailing existence.
The news. Every day it gets scarier.

@chubbypapaya The Lighthouse isn’t playing here yet. I hope it comes.
@chubbypapaya @sammydog01 I just asked at my local regal because they have a sign saying coming soon. They don’t have a date yet.
@chubbypapaya I really liked Get Out but I thought us lost it’s way halfway through and got totally nonsensical. So the government built a bunker that house experimental clones BELOW sea level, with access from a beach fun house… nah dude
@chubbypapaya @RiotDemon The Lighthouse just opened at my theater!

@RiotDemon I’m pretty sure The Witch had less masturbation in it. Let me know how you like it?
@sammydog01 damnit. Still not showing at my theatre!

Dora the explorer. The movie…
@GaviD ^ this
The only “horror” movie I’ve watched this year is The Addams Family. Yes, it was actually classified as horror.
@msklzannie Was it good? Or am I better off staying home and watching reruns?
@sammydog01 It was funny and cute. I liked it wellenough. (I know, weird calling it cute when it’s labeled horror, but it only has a PG ratimg.)
I’ve only seen chapter 2 out of that list. I want to see the lighthouse but it’s not playing at my local regal. Missed Us. No desire to see Midsommar. Scary stories is still playing but I haven’t gotten around to it. Never even heard of Ready or Not.

@sammydog01 interesting like a documentary?
@RiotDemon It stars Benedict Cumberbach and that guy from The Shape of Water. It’s based on fact but shows like a drama. If you don’t know the ending it’s pretty exciting. But you probably know the ending. It’s still fascinating.
@sammydog01 I’ve been a horrible movie goer lately. There’s so many things I want to watch but not enough time.
Things I need to watch first:
Joker
Gemini Man
Addams Family
Zombieland 2
I’ll going to watch joker today. Maybe I’ll make it a double feature with something else.
@RiotDemon Gemini Man was OK. Zombie land and the Addams Family are both on my list.
@sammydog01 just crossed off joker. I’m either going to watch another movie late tonight or sometime tomorrow. I gotta catch up.
Terminator and Doctor Sleep both come out in a couple of weeks.
I am too scared to go to scary movies
Has anyone seen ready or not? I wanted to see it but never did, just wondered if it was any good?
@star2236 I enjoyed it. It doesn’t take itself too seriously.
Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals - I’m still sick to my stomach…

@sammydog01 Scary!
@mediocrebot That’s not scary, it’s just gross.
MEATLOAF!
@sammydog01 so one, how was the first 30 minutes of the movie? And two, does your phone not have a flashlight?
@RiotDemon it was OK- I may go back tonight to see the end. Movies in the back theater often go away. And, second, I was standing in the lobby when someone came out the other corridor with their phone light on when I realized I was stupid.
@sammydog01
/giphy smirk
@RiotDemon I just watched the rest of the movie- it was pretty good!
Well, Us is the only one I’ve seen. So…that
