Round these parts we have a local chain of convenience stores where you can get a full order (two biscuits, smothered) for under three bucks, and the half order is about a buck less.
Now that you mention it, I think that’s gonna be a stop on my way home in the morning.
Right now Carl’s Jr. is doing 2 for 1 if you take the survey at the link on the back of their receipts. You can get two $5.79 burritos for the price of one. Then eat one the following day and you’ve spent less than $3 for breakfast two days in a row. Repeat.
PS: the big country burrito is awesome. Eggs, potatoes, cheese, gravy almost too hot to eat. Delicious.
My problem is that I always end up eating both in one sitting. So much for cheap.
eggs, please!
Wtf is wrong with y’all? , anyone?
@mehvid1 Ya know… BREAKFAST tacos? Guess y’all haven’t been to the right spot yet.
@mehvid1 solid, I slightly prefer burritos for portability/containment factor, but wouldn’t turn down a good breakfast taco.
How is breakfast burrito not even on the list?
@DaveInSoCal I was writing in tacos, but burritos work, too!
/giphy breakfast burrito
Cereal is cheap, as are eggs. Both are great breakfast options! I’d also happily go with a toasted bagel!
@curtise
@curtise it’s clear that meh hq is nowhere near NYC (or other good bagel city/town). A bagel is the best and cheapest option.
last night’s leftover pizza, reheating optional
@rtjhnstn Opps, look at the reply above. Sorry!
@Evansdoor No worries, Great minds and all that
My Aussie friends used to talk about a “Bushman’s breakfast”… a smoke, a piss, and a look around.
Doesn’t get much cheaper than that.
@ajdillon Actually it’s from a “dingo’s breakfast”: “A piss, and quick look around”.
We need to define “cheap”.
Cheapest? Is whatever leftover I would have had to otherwise toss.
Best value for the cost? Is the eggs benedict buffet with bottomless mimosas.
Muffins
Nothing cheaper than skipping breakfast.
@katbyter Exactly.
Biscuits and gravy is pretty damn cheap too.
@djslack Ya’ best me to it.

VAN GOGH! MANGO! TANGO! AWESOME!
@tweezak OK but you have to eat Carl’s Jr. Nothing is both cheaper and more palatable.
Zing bar. Gluten free. Various flavors available. This is just a favorite. Every day.
Coffee
@railek That’s what I usually have!
A piece of bread or two, mashed into cheeks like a chipmunk while running out the door.
