@steveml It’s Meh’s new term for the $5 they take from me every month so I can have the privilege of coming here every night to see what goody they have for sale but find it sucks in various and often multiple ways and then leave empty handed.
movies aren’t really my thing, but i thought i would have at least heard of these “blockbusters.” had to google them to see if maybe it was a joke i was missing. nope, all legit. go figure. the lovebirds sounds like it could be fun but the rest don’t interest me.
@goldnectar
Thanks for the heads up…
SWMBO and I have been revisiting the MCU movies ‘in order’ (according to this chart):
Of course, the Incredible Hulk, and Antman and the Wasp were not part of the Disney+ offerings. We rented Hulk a couple of weeks ago, but found out the latter was available (as of yesterday) so opted to skip over it and complete the series on Thursday then come back to see it today.
I’m glad we did it (in order) since there were a LOT of references/details that made a lot more sense this time around.
I haven’t watched a single one of these movies! I’ve been on a serious chick flick kick recently… that and shopping… never been my thing, but it’s what I’m into of late…
The only one I have seen is Extraction. (There seem to be other slow readers here like me who saw the typo). The only other I heard of is The Old Guard, which I am looking forward to seeing, especially because Theron is an excellent actress, even in action movies (Mad Max-Fury Road).
@goldnectar I usually just Google what’s new on Netflix and usually land at vulture (whoever they are) which doesn’t take too much scrolling to get to the list.
Extraction was great.
What is Extractoin? I missed that one.
@steveml I’m assuming it’s yet another new crypto-currency

@spitfire6006006 @steveml Beat me to it!

Gloin beefs up and takes a strike team of dwarves to retrieve his brother from Moria, where he is trapped. Tolkien action flick.
Underwhelmed by summer blockbusters
Is there such a thing of summer blockbusters in 2020?
Haven’t heard of any of these. Only summer movie I’ve heard of this year is Greyhound, and that’s an Apple TV exclusive. ):
Who has time for streaming? Conference calls all day long, alcohol all night deal with the conference calls, and sleep in between.
Whatever is free on YouTube.
I have Netflix and Prime and don’t watch either one. Never heard of any of these. They must all be really great
Trolls World Tour
The only theatrical film released directly to VOD. I think there was another, but don’t remember the name.
Umbrella Academy

Haven’t seen any of them. My block remains intact.
Nope. Haven’t seen any of them. OTOH Antman and the Wasp hit Disney plus last night finally
@chienfou Prepare to be disappointed.

The Old Guard was great! Excellent action movie. Extraction was also entertaining.

Damnit. I came here to see if I missed anything good, but no one has any good suggestions other than Umbrella Academy, which was great.
@goldnectar yes, it was, and is currently on track to be Netflix most popular scripted series ever.

There were some new comedy specials. Rob Schneider was good if you like that sort of thing
Can we have this poll again for the fall after we all stop laughing at Disney for having the balls to try and stream Mulan for $30?
A new Phineas and Ferb movie is being released in a week or two on Disney+…!
