@Glidde8 Yes, it fits an iPad 3 which is almost the same dimensions as an iPad 2...only issue is that audio jack is covered which is mostly not an issue to me. I think it's a nice case, especially at this price.
@ftpblast@glidde8 I looked up the dimensions on it versus the air, the 2 is a good bit wider so i don't think so, but someone may know better. I also have a 2 that i'd like this for.
@ftpblast Got mine in over the weekend, confirmed it fits the iPad 2 quite nicely. It does block the headphone jack as @Barefooted noted above but that's not an issue to me right now.
@ruouttaurmind If it's a bluetooth 3.0 or 4.0 keyboard, you won't be happy if it doesn't pair or times out every 10 seconds of inactivity. Natively, Nook HD+ only works happily with Bluetooth 2.0 keyboards. You can boot Cyanogen mode from SD-Card, though without rooting your Nook HD+ and it works nicely with bluetooth 3.0/4.0 keyboards including the HP K4000.
This case looks like a generic I picked up from my local W-lm-rt for 7" tablets. With that case, the four corners can be positioned to fit the 7" of the tablet, so it should easily fit it, but perhaps sized too large. I tried an iHome iPad 1&2 faux leather case for my Nook a year 1/2 ago and it flopped around in side the rigid leather frame, but was better than nothing. If you look around W-lm-rt's you might still find Nook branded covers for your HD+ on red-tag.
@zahgrim Thanks for the reply! I rooted and have been running CM on the HD+ for a few months now. I've been using it with a Kensington keyboard (no case) but thought an integrated solution would be nice. On the other hand, with Black Friday approaching, maybe a newer tablet is the better solution rather than throwing more money into this very old tablet. :-)
I got this or a similar model from here a while back. I'm mostly pleased with it, but the keyboard layout is not totally standard. The :; key is moved down next to the space bar, which isn't a big deal unless you use that key a lot, say for times. Where it really gets annoying is that the '" key moves over to the left by one (to where the ;: key should be) and the Enter key fills in the space. You WILL hit enter multiple times while trying to type a ' or " and it will get annoying. A few of the punctuation keys on the bottom row also change places, which may or may not annoy you depending on how much you use them.
@RedOak@thismyusername Yeah, I was kicking myself for not updating our iPad 2 to 7. Then one of my sons went and updated it to 8. It's been surprisingly not awful. So I finally updated my 1st Gen Mini which is essentially just a smaller 2 and it too has been pretty solid.
@KDemo I modded one of the prior (Samsung 3?) Belkins from Meh to work with the iPad2. Not as elegant as I'd prefer but it did the job and the dimensions were a pretty good match. I think I posted the pics/steps on one of the sales.
@Marion14505@notyoutoo 'just looked it up - iOS 5 was the last version for the iPad1. The following table is a bit stale, but still accurate. I think I read that while Apple previously claimed iOS8 was the last version for the iPad2, they've now said it will get iOS9. Pretty long OS life for the second gen!
@notyoutoo I always think back and ponder what it would be like if I had gadgets like this growing up. I think the technology would have blown my little mind!
@Marion14505 I believe they were saying they updated the " 1st Gen Mini " aka the original Ipad Mini, no the original ipad.
As far as I know the original standard ipad will receive no more updates for the OS... of course apps might or might not depending on the app developer.
@thismyusername Yah, that's what I thought. I've had many apps say "shame on you for having an old operating system. would you like to download an OLDER version of this app instead of the LATEST and GREATEST NEWEST version?" And finally, my YouTube app will no longer work. :-( Fail videos in browser just isn't as good as fail videos in app.
My wife's iPad 2 still chugs happily along, though. Maybe I'll steal it.
Best buy had used versions of these I tried out - definitely not one of the nicer mini keyboards to type on. I was not tempted by one of these despite being in the market for one.
Belkin, you fucking lazy ass bastards! Where are the fucking specs on what this thing can fit instead of just including some various models.
But seriously, late night ranting aside, anyone have some real measurements of what this can fit? None of the neoprene cases worked on my Winbook tablet, which is about 10-1/2" x 7".
@djslack ... and 16.1" too. I've learned that dimensions on Amazon can be misleading. Ah well ... in for one; I've wasted money on other ill-fitting items before. That said, I seem to have quite a few dusting rags the size and shape of Anvil shirt sleeves ...
@narfcake i took that as the unfolded dimension, but you're right. Buying on Meh is often about the gamble that this cheap thing might work for what we're looking for.
I got this last time it was offered an it fits my Toshiba Encore 2 OK. It's big enough to effectively touch-type. It's a few milllimeters small to totally cover the tablet horizontally but it covers the screen and its really OK. I wish it had a WIN KEY and if it had a trackpad with mouse clicks it would be perfect. The feel of the keys is pretty good, with decent movements and clicks. Doesn't feel cheap.
I got the far more expensive, $14 model, last time it was offered and it fits my Galaxy Tab S well enough. I just find it excessively heavy for daily use.
I'm glad I got it, but it is limited to travel for use. Now about my $2. "I want my two dollars..."
@dwana442 "and costs way more than this" is a huge differentiation. Like with a good number of offerings here, the items are mediocre. Sold at a cheap enough price, though, and they're great.
Okay, I'll try it, but I'm dubious. I got a new 10" MediaTek widescreen tablet called 'It', and none of the other Belkins are big enough. The tablet is 10.5" wide, and while it pairs with anything, I've been using the Belkin F5L 112 as a stand. I'd like something that grips the tablet. OTOH, the 'BuiltNY' case for the iPad Air fits perfectly. My technical-winding-newt might look like this:
Just wondering why my keyboard arrived in Orlando Friday night, left Orlando early Saturday - and arrived in Orlando AGAIN this afternoon. Did it buy a weekend pass to the Mouse?

Okay, but does it have a dedicated hotkey for meh.com?
Meh meh meh
This deal has me all keyed up
@AttyVette has me nicely spaced out.
@AttyVette it's an OK deal, but not my type.
@AttyVette Seems kind of shiftkey to me.
@AttyVette I was kinda commatose late last night and didn't think to respond.
Well in CASE u wanted one..:)

Will this fit the old school iPad? (iPad 2)
@Glidde8 also wondering this
@Glidde8 Yes, it fits an iPad 3 which is almost the same dimensions as an iPad 2...only issue is that audio jack is covered which is mostly not an issue to me. I think it's a nice case, especially at this price.
Would this work with iPad 2 which is slightly less than 10 inches?
@ftpblast @glidde8 I looked up the dimensions on it versus the air, the 2 is a good bit wider so i don't think so, but someone may know better. I also have a 2 that i'd like this for.
the ipad 2 is only about a third of an inch wider than the galaxy tab 4 10.1, i may try it just to see.
@djslack knowing-agonizing-van
Not sure why this is image result, but nice glamour shot, dude:
@djslack He must be named Van?
@ftpblast Got mine in over the weekend, confirmed it fits the iPad 2 quite nicely. It does block the headphone jack as @Barefooted noted above but that's not an issue to me right now.
I wonder if this would fit my Nook HD+ since they call it a 9" tablet. Hmm...

@jqubed this is a deal breaker for me. Thanks for sharing
How about an iPad 1? Yes, some of us still have one...
@katbyter and I thought our iPad2 was feeling pretty doggy. So doggy I'm about to bump it from iOS 6 to 8.x... how much slower could it get? ;-)
Good for you - you win the Apple frugal award!
@RedOak have an ipad2 on 8, it's still usable.
@RedOak I've got two iPad 1s. I make my kids use them. "Aw man, only OS 7?" is a frequent refrain.
@notyoutoo I wish we had bumped our 2 to iOS 7. Nice improvement over 6 and 8 isn't that much nicer but takes more space and cpu.
@thismyusername good to know. Been doing a bit of research and it seems the results are mixed for 8 on the 2. Hopefully we'll get lucky.
@RedOak @thismyusername Yeah, I was kicking myself for not updating our iPad 2 to 7. Then one of my sons went and updated it to 8. It's been surprisingly not awful. So I finally updated my 1st Gen Mini which is essentially just a smaller 2 and it too has been pretty solid.
@RedOak my 2 is on 8 and seems fine, but I've not used a newer ipad extensively to judge.
@RedOak - I use a 2 on 7, maybe this will give meh the idea that there are enough around to find us a keyboard case as well.
@notyoutoo Wait - how did you get IOS 7 on an original iPad? Mine won't upgrade past IOS 5. And yes, I have an originally original, iPad "1".
@KDemo I modded one of the prior (Samsung 3?) Belkins from Meh to work with the iPad2. Not as elegant as I'd prefer but it did the job and the dimensions were a pretty good match. I think I posted the pics/steps on one of the sales.

I bought it last time it was here. I hate the weird key layout. If meh.com offers the qwerty version I would get that
Best buy had used versions of these I tried out - definitely not one of the nicer mini keyboards to type on. I was not tempted by one of these despite being in the market for one.
Can get a Bluetooth keyboard for this. A real one. And Alibaba has these all day from China and on ebay for like $4.
Help their failing economy! Oh the humanity. First world problems are just so hard.
Good case but magnets hold it closed and in different positions ,anyone with a pacemaker or other medical electronics should avoid it
@martycawley Really? Does Apple print a similar warning on their Smartcovers?
Belkin, you fucking lazy ass bastards! Where are the fucking specs on what this thing can fit instead of just including some various models.
But seriously, late night ranting aside, anyone have some real measurements of what this can fit? None of the neoprene cases worked on my Winbook tablet, which is about 10-1/2" x 7".
@narfcake i see the width on this listed as 10" on amazon, so probably a no go.
@djslack ... and 16.1" too. I've learned that dimensions on Amazon can be misleading. Ah well ... in for one; I've wasted money on other ill-fitting items before. That said, I seem to have quite a few dusting rags the size and shape of Anvil shirt sleeves ...

@djslack And worse comes to worse and I truly couldn't use it, I could probably resell it to a coworker. :)
You think you might use this, but you won't. I've paid $30, $20, $5 for similar items, and they are all collecting dust.
@dmlivezey even if you don't like/use the keyboard, these cases do offer some screen protection in a pack or laptop bag.
I got this last time it was offered an it fits my Toshiba Encore 2 OK. It's big enough to effectively touch-type. We use it more with our phones!
Prop yr phone up, Bluetooth in & type away :-D
I got the far more expensive, $14 model, last time it was offered and it fits my Galaxy Tab S well enough. I just find it excessively heavy for daily use.
I'm glad I got it, but it is limited to travel for use. Now about my $2. "I want my two dollars..."
@ACraigL what's a paperboy? I don't get it.
@RedOak @ACraigL
I bought 3, and they are all still in box.. I will find a use for a few... Someday...So, Meh.. I think they were cheaper last time as well.
Will this fit my Surface? Oh wait, it already has a stand and a keyboard. Meh.
@dwana442 the Surface has a physical keyboard? When did that change?
That depends on your definition of keyboard. I'm speaking of the type cover. Yes it's optional and cost way more then this. but I already have it.
@dwana442 "and costs way more than this" is a huge differentiation. Like with a good number of offerings here, the items are mediocre. Sold at a cheap enough price, though, and they're great.

@OldCatLady I really like your technical-winding-newt. Got any extras you'd like to share?
@heartny Well, I have an extra Benedict Cumberbatch.
Just wondering why my keyboard arrived in Orlando Friday night, left Orlando early Saturday - and arrived in Orlando AGAIN this afternoon. Did it buy a weekend pass to the Mouse?
@OldCatLady do not question the ways of smartpost!
Has anyone gotten theirs to work with a Windows RT tablet?
