@werehatrack I was gonna post this picture, then found I had marked it as coming from Meh…
Because I am how I am, I decided to reuse the original link, and managed to track it down to coming from you!
What great smiles I had.
And now it’s gotten me thinking about a clam sandwich (which sounds disgusting to me, but is funny nonetheless).
I’m interested in the boxes on the right side of the image. Looks like perhaps a small space heater or air cleaner and a speed control of some sort? Yes I’m a nerd, leave me alone.
@PooltoyWolf The box with the grille is almost certainly a Brionvega TS 505 radio.
The thing on top is maybe a baseboard heater? It looks like this picture was taken on the floor. I looked around for pictures and found some similar-looking things but none of them were that high off the floor, but they did have a knob and a red switch or light underneath, as well as a gap at the top.
I don’t know why someone would wedge a radio under a heater though? Staged for the photo? Pushed it out of the way?
The ham on the left is a Tesco brand (Eastman’s Deli Foods) so this must be in the UK. Maybe the bread is from Tesco as well. edit: looks like Tesco Toastie .
@tohar1 Why do you assume it was a “wife” making the sandwich? I assumed it was a guy, since they’re the ones who tend to have this kind of frivolous time on their hands!
Be careful to proofread what you ask for.

@PooltoyWolf @awk
Are you a detective?
@awk That is am awesome radio and I now want one! Heh
DIPLOMAT! RAT-A-TAT! FAT CAT! AWESOME!
@awk @PooltoyWolf I challenge the Meh writers to include “Proper Tasty” into the next food or pseudo-food product write-up
That has to be some fairly stale bread. I also suspect the use of toothpicks or bamboo skewers.
@werehatrack Duct tape would be my guess.
@werehatrack I was guessing it was either really stiff & stale bread or a more plausible explanation, just magic performed by his sorceress wife.
@pakopako @werehatrack Superglue?

@ircon96 You do have a point there! I’ll yield the thought to consideration. I’m just used to asking my Mrs. to make me a sandwich I guess…
@tohar1 That’s reasonable, but just think, if you made her a sandwich more often, you could pull these kinds of shenanigans on her!
