@NapkinEater Lucky! I soak like once a month in my tiny tub that’ll overflow if I put my legs in the water lol. If I had a jacuzzi tub I’d use it all the time!
@NapkinEater that matches my experience. Beautiful tub with jets and tile surround; view of Oregon hills from window. The one thing it didn’t have was an add-on heater to maintain the temp, but apparently I could add it. Yeah a few times in a few years.
Also room had a nice corner shower used most days. I was/am not a shower every day type person. Either is OK; you do you!
@user74860313 Well, the Japanese tradition is you never get into a tub (often communal) without first sitting at a wooden chair where you scrub with hot water and soap. Then when you are fully clean, proceed to the tub/pools. Anything else would be a serious breach of etiquette.
Always been a shower person. Bathtub takes too long to fill up. I can be done, dressed and doing something else by the time it’s full enough to get in.
Both. Shower in the morning for sure. And I usually take a quick shower before a bath because sitting in dirty bath water is just gross. I’m a sucker for a hot bubble bath with epsom after a long day in the shop or after a lifting session. I also have a slight obsession with Lush and their bubble bars. I usually buy as many as I can in their one sale on Boxing Day. Sleepy scent is just dreamy. Also the bath has to be a soaking tub. Sitting in a few inches of water is a juice that isn’t worth the squeeze.
This is my little soaking sanctuary. We remodeled the bath years ago after our two oldest decided to have a wrestling match in our tub. That wound up being one thing after another and the next theming we knew, we’d gutted the bathroom back to the studs.

@sillyheathen
Nice!
I’m currently in Atlanta at my sister-in-law’s house. Came up to see Nick Bargatze at the State Farm arena yesterday… great show.
I’ll post pics of my wife’s inner sanctum after we get home (maybe tomorrow.)
I’ve always been a shower person, every day, first thing in the morning!
But…
On occasion I’m down for a nice relaxing bath to soothe my aches and pains but ONLY AFTER I rinse off in the shower because like others have said I’m not going to soak in gross dirty bath water! …and after I’m done soaking I have to rinse off under the shower again! I guess It’s kinda like shower, bath, rinse, repeat! It’s definitely a process!
When I moved to my condo I wanted to put a hot tub in my huge walk-in closet, after considering the guy below me I decided it wouldn’t be such a good idea! Lol
@Lynnerizer
Generally don’t shower first thing in the morning unless there’s some place I have to go. Since I worked evenings typically my showers were mid-afternoon before work, or at the end of the day after I’ve been outside and gotten hot and sweaty etc.
@DLPanther my previous house with the fancy big tub mentioned above had 2 water heaters working together just in case. For jobs like this, the tankless is probably a better option.
Yes. Every house should include at least one or the other.
@yakkoTDI yes I agree. That then means the place has running water.
I don’t like sitting in dirty water.
That’s why I’m there…to get rid of it, not bathe in it.
@Tadlem43 amen to that! Where do you think the old saying “Don’t throw the kid out with the Bath Water”
@Tadlem43
EXACTLY!
Usually a shower, but a bath is nice for sore muscles.
When we were looking at our future home: “Ooo…it has a jacuzzi tub! Awesome!”
In 12 years, we’ve used it <10 times.
POKER! JOKER! NOT MEDIOCRE! AWESOME!
@NapkinEater wow!

That is what the Very Hot Showers are for, plus some Tylenol or Advil. With that you don’t have sore muscles any more, also you need to work out more!
Remember, Cats don’t do baths or showers!
/showme real cats bathing themselves
On rare occasions I will take a shower, turn it off, then immediately fill the tub and relax with a bath!

@chienfou @sillyheathen We were at that show too! Great set! (And I like baths on winter mornings.)
@sillyheathen
…take 2
Here we go. (Definitely a different vibe!)

What a nice oasis!

I’ve had better ideas!

Shower.
But, if I were to have one of those deep soaking tubs from Japan I would wash first in the shower and then soak for ever.
Shower, because I’m old, and getting out of the tub if I am sitting in it means I hurt more than before I got in
The tub in our house is so large, the hot water heater would run out before it was full. Haven’t tried it with the tankless heater
