@mikibell That sounds encouraging that at least things aren’t getting worse right now (to the extent one can be encouraged in a situation like the one she is dealing with anyway…)

I’ve caught this nasty cold bug that’s been going around at the nursing home and have been kinda sick. I’m on my way to the doctor’s office. The doc thinks my cold might have turned into pneumonia and he might put me in the hospital. If this happens, I feel sorry for you guys – I’ll be haunting this place day and night, because I’ll have nothing else to do.

@Barney - Ugh. I had that a month ago. Took up to 4 weeks to recover, but you’ll get there. Steamy showers and lots of hot tea (with a splash of o.j.) helps.

It’s pneumonia. It was decided that I’m not bad enough to have to go into the hospital. Yay! Supposedly, in two or three days, I should begin to feel normal. Normal, what’s that? Really, all I want is to be able to sleep lying down. Sitting up and sleeping is for the birds.
I really need to go back to bed. I’m wiped out. Be back in a few days.
BTW, @f00l, thanks for thinking about me with this thread. You don’t know how much I appreciate it.

I found it more interesting than shocking. I think I mentioned it once a long time ago, and no reason for anyone to notice or remember, tho a few did.

On old topics, at the top, there could be some auto-warning-message not to revive old threads after a certain point, but rather start new ones and refer to the old ones if necessary.
Communities have history. No reason to make the history of this community so difficult to track and re-visit.
And search is not a substitute. The staff knows how good the search feature is and isn’t - esp if what one remembers is that someone sorta said something once about something of interest, but whatever was said was worthy of a re-visit.

I’ve had “walking” pneumonia twice. While I could walk in both cases, it knocked the crap out of me (not literally) when I tried to do anything more than sleep and move a little. Second time it took two rounds of antibiotics to kill it, so that whole promise of “you’ll feel a bit better within a few days” turned out to be bogus (was more like ten days). I hope this does not happen for you.
@Barney It’s been two whole days. It took awhile for the pneumonia to take hold. Just think how you’d be feeling if you hadn’t started on drugs. I could phrase that better-. Go make a pot of hot tea and add honey and lemon. Actually that sounds good for here; we’re under a freeze warning. Can you binge watch some shows?
@OldCatLady Tea and honey sounds wonderful. Do you have my address? After lunch (friend brought me homemade chicken and noodles), I’ll have a bath and then I plan on sleeping the rest of the day. Binge watching shows may start tomorrow.
