The closest I get to background noise for music is a couple channels on YouTube like Nightride FM or Lofi Girl. Maybe I will venture out to Soma FM or triple j out of Australia.
Normally I actively listen to music and TV shows or movies are the background noise.
Since I have tinnitus, I have to have music to cover the sounds in my head. SiriusXM 60s/70s/80s mixes, jazz, You tube autoplay for K-pop (PSY, BTS, etc), or Alan Parsons.
Most of the time at home, I have the stereo tuned to KQAC All Classical playing in the background. But when they have their opera segments, I usually switch over to KMHD Jazz. Not a big fan of most opera - though I do like some pieces once in a while.
(Both of these are available for streaming, BTW.)

I have a Spotify playlist that combines 60s Folk’70s easy listening and a bunch of filk
Whatever song is playing on repeat inside my head!
@Wollyhop Try this one (kind of a similar tempo to Uptown Girl)
Silence.
When I listen to music, it’s in the foreground.

I bet if you listen through this a couple or 3 times, you won’t even remember what that other song was!
@phendrick TRADITION! (Tradition)…is all I remember repeating after seeing both the play & the movie…
