Was the variety of offers passable? Did the theme remain plausible? Did you secure your Irk?? Tell us how it went and don’t forget to brag about any particularly remarkable scores from yesterday.
@jouest@MrGoodGuy
Yep, exactly. I’m on vacay with friends in Wisconsin who live on a lake. Never even noticed the 'thon til it was almost over and these were the item…
I bought too many things. I did buy the irk, a lamp for a little, the shark portable vac for my dad who is obsessed with vacuuming furniture since they’ve been staying with us, and something else? But I will happily take the indoor pizza oven, or stainless cookware in my irk if there are extras lying around the warehouse!
@macromeh@sillyheathen I thought about the Shark vac, but my current budgetary constraints are tight, and I expect them to get much worse. And my Ryobi vac can be (somewhat inconveniently) made to do most of what that Shark does.
The lineup of items just plain weren’t worth buying. Not even enough for an IRK. So boring I fell asleep at 7. I had more going on at the Wootoff. These days the thon needs to be on the weekend for the weekend!
The theme wasn’t quite laughable, but it was weak. The selection of stuff was better than the usual batch, or at least it seemed that way. (This is not an amazing achievement.) The complete lack of snake oil was welcome. There were several things that I could have used but didn’t really need, and one thing that I bought. With just one purchase to use as a price modifier for the IRK, I wasn’t going to shell out for it
Indeed. I was quite pleasantly surprised. Bravo, Meh!
The t-shirts were the highlight, the puzzles will make a nice gift, and I will probably regret getting the Halo freezer/warmer bag. I suppose that’s preparing me for the IRK.
Did I miss something yesterday??
@MrGoodGuy not really

@sillyheathen Good luck with the shark vac - other folks’ experience did not go well:

@macromeh I debated but have a friend that loves theirs. In for a penny and all that I suppose!

I was absent. Was more exciting than meh.
Sitting in the chair in my hotel room right now with my feet up on the bed because my feet hurt

There was a theme?
I was excited to see shirts, especially long sleeved ones.
I got the Irk, and meh on the other offerings. I didn’t see anything in the fun/quirky category I have come to love.
