Avert your eyes, @Jaremelz!
20I know how you hate attention for your awesome knitting skills, but I just have to share. Around Thanksgiving, our November goat, @christinewas, held a contest for a disadvantaged segment of our society - those of us born without Photoshop skills. All we had to do was use food to create a mediocre masterpiece. Armed with bread and my undying love for Irk, I came up with an entry that was suspiciously deemed the winner. As such, I was given the honor of owning an original creation from the hands of our very talented @Jaremelz. And not just any creation, a Dr. Who themed creation. Be still, my hearts. Behold, the four custom washcloths that I received today:
Amazing work @Jaremelz! I love them! My bathroom is totally getting a makeover with these and the Tardis shower curtain that my boss has promised me for Christmas. Thanks for taking the time during this busy holiday season to make such an awesome prize, and thanks to @christinewas for creating a contest so mediocre that even I could win.

I'm envious @Trillian. See, @Jaremelz? This proves my point, you ARE very talented!
@Barney Pfft
I am so glad you like them! I want a DW shower curtain.
I am supremely jealous.
Yay! I enjoyed your bread art. I'm glad these great @jaremelz creations found their home with you, where they will be loved and appreciated.
@christinewas Since I just became a Whovian this summer, I have an appalling lack of DW paraphernalia. These washcloths are the first installment of what I hope will grow to a decent collection. While I wait for my bank account to catch up to my new addiction, I’ve had to resort to making my own daleks out of acorn caps.
@Trillian I have used acorn caps for crafting, but never thought to do that. Brilliant!
That stuff is awesome! I need so much practice....
@conandlibrarian You will totally get there. Just keep knitting! These are all made with just the 2 simple knit and purl stitches.
LOVE them all !
Damned good thing I look good in green. I am jealous! These are outstanding!!
Sweaters, @jaremelz! You must make sweaters--at least cropped ones. They'll take less knitting.
Love the Dalek pattern, especially (or as my kids call them, The Garlics.)
@LaVikinga The Garlics, I love it! And just so long as I don't have to model the cropped sweaters...
