(No spoilers) . . .
. . . I cried. Wiping tears away for minutes. Wifey didn’t shed a tear, and yes she’s also quite into MCU and she’s usually bawling and I get lump in throat at most. Titanic, move over!
@hammi99 For my money, I think “I cried” is a spoiler. Not a major one, but a spoiler nonetheless.
Let me state on the front end as emphatically as possible I am not mad, nor do I think you did anything “wrong”. If I am so adamant about no spoilers (and I am), I shouldn’t be reading threads like this on the internet (and I didn’t until after I saw it Friday). But you don’t have to reveal a plot point to constitute a spoiler. In addition, when a so-called “non-spoilers” like yours are combined with other “non-spoilers”, they can indeed give away plot details.
For example, << SPOILER BELOW that some would claim is not a spoiler >>
I heard a woman on the radio early Friday morning “I cried so hard at the end of Avengers Endgame”. They said it just as I started my car, and I could not switch the station in time. That was it. I am pretty sure she didn’t think what she said constituted a spoiler, but it was a major spoiler for me, and the “at the end” was significant. From that alone, I was able to surmise “something happens” to at one or more characters, and when combined with other details in the film, it was easy for me to resolve “to whom”, that “something happens”. In short, I knew what was going to happen in the climatic scene before it happened. I would not have known that without the seemingly innocuous comment.
@DrWorm fair point, if not for the very fact that some expectations are set. However I’d also imagine the title of this thread would allow folks to self-filter
@mfladd I mean, as long as nobody gives away that Rosebud is Cap’s sled, we’re good. And really, we have a couple "Cap"s now, so as long as you don’t reveal if it belonged to America, Marvel, or Caveman then is it really a spoiler?
@mfladd@simplersimon If you’re in a thread for a movie which spoilers would be bad for you, get out. Don’t read until you’ve seen the movie. What is so hard about that?
Why do snowflakes always want the world to jump to their every whim?
@ZeroCharisma there are apparently a couple good 5 - 15 minute ”recap to get you ready” videos out there. A coworker who had only seen maybe 8 of the 21 others watched a few and said he only had to ask about 3 questions to get fully caught up.
I have seen about 37 of the 21 (a few multiple times) but my son is at college another week and we are all waiting . So far everyone has been good on no spoilers. Thanks!
@Kawa yup, and that was an issue as well. I dont want to give too much away… lots of time spent on less important plot developments, and mininal time spent with the true heroes. They could have cut the movie time in half.
@therealjrn I think you mean Mster? Thanks for the giphy. I honestly wouldn’t know if Spidey was part of all that. Sacrilege, I know . I am aware of Thor, Iron Man and Antman, however. And I think there’s a Captain or 2…
We saw it by accident* yesterday. My first movie since last year.
It was okay. Some heartstrings were pulled.
It was pretty long, I thought I’d have more of a problem with my bionic hip than I did, sitting for that length of time.
Then we watched some reruns of Justified on Amazon Prime when we got home, then Game of Thrones (east coast feed of HBO, watched at six pm, yay!).
I was pretty deaded out last night.
*I asked for tickets to Captain Marvel. Brian never looked at the tickets after they were handed to him. We were just told which theater to go to and we did. Didn’t realize which movie it was until the title credits.
Going tomorrow!
Dumbledore di … oh wait, wrong movie

@DrWorm @hammi99 If you don’t want spoilers, don’t read threads about the damn movie. Pretty simple.
Are you fucking kidding me? A spoiler thread?

/present company excepted of course.
It was wonderful. Went to the first showing I could on Thursday. Headed to see it in 3D in the morning. Hitting Imax next week with some coworkers.
Watched it in IMAX. It was a great end to the series. I didn’t cry at all, though the teenage girls next to us were bawling their eyes out.
“Ugh! I haven’t seen it!” is a bit much.
More like: “I’ll watch it after I get around to the other 4 or 7 movies I need to see to get caught up.”

Ya’ll haven’t seen it yet?! It’s been out for 32 hours people, hurry up there’s things to be discussed!!!

It was poor. It was just a quick easy way to wrap up the movie.
@audiocontr Doesn’t seem that ‘quick’ given the runtime!
@Kawa yup, and that was an issue as well. I dont want to give too much away… lots of time spent on less important plot developments, and mininal time spent with the true heroes. They could have cut the movie time in half.
Missing an obvious voting option:
I don’t give a fuck about this at all.
But, I’m happy for the rest of you that feel otherwise. Enjoy!
@llangley Hey there mister! You could at least keep it on topic!
@therealjrn I think you mean Mster? Thanks for the giphy. I honestly wouldn’t know if Spidey was part of all that. Sacrilege, I know . I am aware of Thor, Iron Man and Antman, however. And I think there’s a Captain or 2…
I have zero effs to give about superhero movies.
I would really hate to see Cap die like that.
Han Solo dies.
@robm He should have shot first.
Here’s a longhair essay that appears to give a poetic approach to the M.C.U.

/self disclosure–I didn’t actually read all the way through it–I though it might interest some fans though.

I avoided this thread because spoilers.
I finally saw it Thursday.
When I was buying tickets to Pet Sematary last night there was somebody talking very loudly and mentioning some super important
SPOILERS.
I would of been so pissed if I hadn’t seen it.
I cried. I enjoyed it.
If you haven’t seen it yet, why are you still reading?
Don’t watch this.

Long. Sooooo long. I really enjoyed most of it but it could have been just as good an hour shorter.
