@jaybird It does not. I got it for my switch to use on the Vanpool. The Bluetooth headphones DO work with the switch tho, if you have a cigarette lighter plug in near the base. Audio goes into base via 3.5mm jack, then into the Bluetooth head set.
I honestly believed, from the 1980s until just now, that Audiovox was Radio Shack’s in-house brand for headphones. Since apparently Audiovox is still around, I guess that was wrong.
@mwarren@rprebel You made me go wiki this crap because I knew you were wrong on Radio Shacks crappy in house brand. It was Realistic, a name I only see in my nightmares. There are apparently still 425 stores, somewhere.
@rprebel I don’t ever want to admit what I’m about to admit, but I had a “friend” who managed a Radio Shack who sold me a Realistic Betamax VCR when I was a teenager. It was just a rebranded Sony, but I cursed his name for many years after.
@Jamileigh17 looks like it will outsize a phone, but the tablet mount itself just has that kickstand slab protruding out the back so you can probably mount it to a lot of things with a little imagination and maybe some zip ties.
Darn… Thought I had a looksmart coupon still, but it was invalid. Was going to try it for $5. FM transmitter is interesting, but redundant as most cars have aux in and Bluetooth these days.
@gsrivast If you have a surplus airplane seat in your house, maybe. If you try to use this on a commercial flight, the flight attendants are required to stop you from mounting things on the back of seats.
Even if you have a window seat in a non-exit row, they aren’t allowed to let you do it.
All it took was for just one guy to mount something that slowed down the exit process in just one evacuation from a burning airplane, that lead to some extra deaths, and now no one can mount anything to the back of seats.
I commute to work via train. I see fellow commuters holding their phones/tablets. Train/airplane phone/tablet holder would sell.
I use a Joby suction cup setup to hold my phone.
Wait, you guys have enough friends to fill up the front AND the back of your car? Oh wait, kids. Nah thanks. Instead of spending $500 of mounted electronics to prevent their screaming food throwing terror while driving, I just chose to have them not exist while driving. Oh look! $500 dollars.
@goldnectar The number of toddlers I see who “need” their own iPads makes me feel a whole lot better about the automatic treat thrower that I bought for my dogs.
@arielleslie@goldnectar i got a pair of these for the kids on roadtrips. At least twice a year, we visit family in canada… its a much smoother 10 hour drive when the 3 and 5 year old can be distracted for a bit. Otherwise they just punch each other. I wouldnt take tablets for normal activities.

Mehhhhh
$10 worth of Ecycle
dollar store grade garbage - hard pass
@RedOx Back in 2014 it had an MSRP of $150 and got an 8/10 (or 4 of 5 stars) in CNet’s review. Apparently these didn’t age well.
Seems they never make these large enough to handle tablets in cases. Especially kid cases.
@medz
If you’re in the market for just a mount without the fancy Bluetooth shenanigans, I’d look at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076SZ62X2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_6JLKCb2FXX3HH
I got a different brand (but it looks like an exact clone) and it works well for my 10.1" Tab A with an otterbox-size case on it.
Brilliant model number interpretation!
Ventriloquists are an under-reported scourge on society.
kinda useless- there’s no way I could see anything while driving.
@alacrity Skip this & duct tape tablet to windshield at eye level.
@Kyser_Soze can’t- the pinball machine owns my dashboard. Maybe taped to the rearview mirror…
@alacrity @Kyser_Soze Just attach it to your seat, but facing forward.
Was this a bulk purchase from someones yard sale?
Interesting, wonder if the dock works with a Nintendo switch.
@jaybird It does not. I got it for my switch to use on the Vanpool. The Bluetooth headphones DO work with the switch tho, if you have a cigarette lighter plug in near the base. Audio goes into base via 3.5mm jack, then into the Bluetooth head set.

@rprebel I think I hear RadioShack crying out “I am not dead yet!”
@mwarren @rprebel You made me go wiki this crap because I knew you were wrong on Radio Shacks crappy in house brand. It was Realistic, a name I only see in my nightmares. There are apparently still 425 stores, somewhere.
@Fuzzalini OMG REALISTIC. I had successfully purged that word from my memory. Apologies to everyone I’ve scarred today by bringing it up.
@rprebel I don’t ever want to admit what I’m about to admit, but I had a “friend” who managed a Radio Shack who sold me a Realistic Betamax VCR when I was a teenager. It was just a rebranded Sony, but I cursed his name for many years after.
I think your people who are purchasing these items up for sale lately need a good talking to…
Any ideas of how to use this to mount a phone or tablet to a jazzy power wheelchair?
@Jamileigh17 I have no idea, but I like your style.
@Jamileigh17 looks like it will outsize a phone, but the tablet mount itself just has that kickstand slab protruding out the back so you can probably mount it to a lot of things with a little imagination and maybe some zip ties.

Which one is worthless, the mount or the headset? Hold on, they could both be worthless and we are paying for someone’s combo idea.
32¢ Final offer.
Would this work with an airplane seat?

@gustador I hear a pop socket would help. Now is Meh would just sell those.
@hchavers but that product wouldn’t be meh would it?
i just bought the trifecta. can any of my past aquaintances give me their opinion…?
/youtube trifecta

/8ball “their opinion…?”
It is certain
This is pointless without the steering wheel and pedal extension accessories.
Tylenol is tough on your liver. Avoid it after drinking. Asprin or Ibuprofen.
I bought an Audiovox car stereo in the 80’s. It was fecal…
Actually it’s called the Indianapolis metropolitan police department so IMPD.

@goldnectar Child free is the way to be.
