I don’t get the pumpkin pie thing. To each their own, but really… Why eat that when there’s so much else that’s actually tasty? Plus, the uneaten pumpkin pie takes up valuable refrigerator space… Won’t someone please think of the batteries!?!
@shahnm I prefer blueberry, raspberry, cherry, peach, apple, ice cream pies. Pumpkin - yuck!. I will not even try battery pie. Even if you put a pinch of salt on it (get it? A salt and battery pie - hehehe - sorry I’m tired)
I’m a pecan-pie guy myself, but I do kind of like the SMELL of pumpkin pie. I see it as a sort of olfactory table decoration for Thanksgiving, like creamed onions, cranberry sauce, and Indian pudding.
Excellent pumpkin pie (they spend a lot of effort on the ingredients) but - as with Costco’s warped idea of sane product sizes everywhere else in the store, good luck eating it all if you don’t have a supersize family!
A few weeks ago we bought the Holiday Pie from costco. Basically it’s a pumpkin, sweet potato cheesecake. It was very good. Then we tried the pumpkin cheesecake from Sam’s Club. The latter was better.
Of course it is. That’s why they make it in 24" deep dish pizza pans and weigh 8 lbs on average.
Yes.

I have no idea. I only like sweet potato pie.
It’s that good and it’s cheap. Eating some right now

@aetris Oy! Ye must cast aside thine heathen ways! Cranberry sauce and roasted turkey belong together. A match made in heaven!
I don’t mind cranberry sauce and roast turkey on the same plate, as long as they don’t touch each other.
@aetris But Dad, he touched me first! Are we there yet? I gotta pee!

Did Costco bring back the Kirkland vanilla ice cream yet?
@zachdecker don’t know. I’m waiting for them to bring back the Fruit and Nut Medley.
Hell yes. It’s one of my favorite holiday food items.

@jaybird Costco used to have an actual pumpkin cheesecake that was better than that harvest cheesecake they sell now.
@Ignorant yeah, harvest cheesecake, that’s what it was
