Shipping is free because I’m a member. But, when I tap to buy it says I can’t because it’s only available for members. Are there different levels of membership that I don’t know about?
@nerdykev
VMP was a membership program they cancelled a few years ago. Those of us in the program since then are grandfathered in a long as we keep up our monthly tithing
@guyfromhawthorn interesting. I was a vmp, but then one day the site said I wasn’t, so I rejoined. I never actually cancelled, so that’s weird that it still exists for some.
@Yeknomgod@nerdykev@nzdod VMP is a program that has ended. If anyone who is VMP drops it (people have to pay $5/mo whether or not they buy anything) they can’t get it back. Membership (the heart in your badge vs the V that VMP has) you pay by any month you use it and don’t pay if you don’t use it.
@nzdod Yep-that is about it-we pay the same $ 5 a month as reg members do and get free shipping and 10% off if we enter VMP in the coupon code for morningsave and side deals.
VMP is for “Members Only” I looked it up on google. So if you are just a member and not VMP, tough luck. Membership used to be VMP, but it changed and any new members are actually not in the members only club.
edit, I have purchases dating back to 2014 but because I didn’t maintain the VMP I am now only a member
Do physical therapists ever recommend these things. It seems like yoga does so much more and doesn’t require weird hardware. Hanging from a chin-up bar would stretch the spine better.
@hamjudo I bought last sale and was a little skeptical before I tried it, but thought I’d buy it at the price and I was pretty quickly impressed. I did feel less tension in my back and even some ease in my hamstrings and maybe even my quads. Hips felt a little relaxed also. I started pretty gradually so as not to pop something or be sore and told myself I would build up and use this more often, but I have kind of slacked off.
As to hanging down from a chin-up bar, I haven’t done that since I maybe was in high school, but I do have an inversion table which I use and recommend. The difference is that with this “weird” device, you have a lot of control of the tension you can apply, and hence not over do it, and then work up. It helped me. YMMV. And this price is great for something that looks to be pretty durable.
I’m not sure that this would do as much to give any of the flexibility that yoga can achieve, so kinda different purposes.

I thought those were handlebars for a solid moment there
WTF? The pictures just raise more questions…
The cheap thing to shock myself sold out, so I learned my lesson. Bought the cheap thing to mess with my spine before posting!

what’s the difference between membership and VMP membership?
@nzdod VMP was offered via Kickstarter years ago, and for a short time after the sight launched. It is not longer offered.
@jml326 @nzdod Ohh, I bet I dropped it during a long period of inactivity.

Soo… I’m not VMP? What’s that membership thing I have/pay for then?
@Yeknomgod that’s mehmbership. Vmp isn’t open for signups

@Kidsandliz @nerdykev @nzdod That explanation makes perfect sense, thank you!
@Yeknomgod you are welcome
I just woke up from a nap I swear for a split second I thought that was a bat’lath and I nearly hit buy. Thank God I didn’t.
I thought I am being charged for VMP and I am unable to buy these…!
@nzdod You are paying for a member ship not vmp
@nzdod VMP went bye bye some time ago but those who stayed members were grandfathered in.
@Felton10 SO they have no new VMPs and these sales are only for those originally knighted as VMPs? That’s feudalism…
@nzdod Yep-that is about it-we pay the same $ 5 a month as reg members do and get free shipping and 10% off if we enter VMP in the coupon code for morningsave and side deals.
I can’t ride a bike with just handlebars.
Just handlebars…
Just handlebars…

@hamjudo Also, it’s hard to tell at first glance by just looking at it, but the design does make sense when you see how to use it.
I want to buy this but it says I need to be a VMP member. Aren’t I already one by paying my $4.99 each month?
@tazzsmom No, you’re a penny short… VMP is $5.00 each month.
