My body is in southwest Ohio, but my heart is on the banks of the Hudson River in NY. Transplanted myself out here in 2016, because the cost of living, taxes, and rising crime rate made NY no longer a place to live comfortably as a retiree.
@duodec same thing, in Seattle. Since it’s gotten lighter out, my few-blocks-drive to the freeway after work (downtown) is so depressing because I can more easily see the tents and many piles of garbage lining the sidewalks.
@ironcheftoni if you mean dallas forth worth I and the majority of the country would be thrilled if you could do something about your senators… They can be Republicans… Just not bat shit crazy seditionists. Still checking into mine
@ironcheftoni I mean you could vote them out. Which is a pain. The party system doesn’t care in general cause their guy is already there. Even if he is awful. Youd have to get someone to run against them and deal with a lot of crap. But. Maybe it’s time to force some people out
@stinks I don’t recall specifically. I asked whatever happened to him once and someone mentioned he got a new job but I forget what it was/can’t find the answer. Pretty sure he’s good. Just found something new. maybe someone else has more info
I was thinking that old tattered box of half broken crayons that I should’ve treated SO much more gently. ? Or maybe the overlooked crumb filled catch tray in the toaster oven, AND THEN I realized that NO matter where “I” go or what “I” do he’ll ALWAYS be in my overloaded head, with ALL the other thoughts of regret!!
@Lynnerizer unless you voted for him idk that you have anything to regret. If your senators or congressman supported him during his… Stuff… I would suggest reminding them you pick them and while incumbents don’t usually get replaced by the same party. Might be time
Almost Heaven… “Eastern Panhandle” of WV, it’s not too bad a place, tbh. Actually, 20 or fewer miles from MD and VA, too. Definitely different from Charleston, heh. (Retired here, from California. I have family here, plus I love having 4 seasons each year.)
