@macromeh I couldn’t stand that one after the premier eipsode… so much oh the drama and angst which was infecting most shows created in that period. First season of original series was great (though it then collapsed into inanities) because it was fun adventure and not rubbing your face in ‘the angst’.
I doubt any of the great past shows could be brought forward now for many reasons; the actors are older or gone, too many production houses are run by the ‘woke’ who will hate everything about the original and turn the remake into a vehicle for ‘messaging’.
Of course, there are exceptions - the reboot of Battlestar Galactica, for example - but they are rare.
