These days, an Amazon search may have zero good hits in the first three pages, and then dole out one or two partial-match ones per page for 50 more before you get to the single item that is an exact match for your search string. And that is why I refuse to call their (f)utility a “search function”. It’s an internal badly-targeted ad generator. For better results, use any external search engine.
@werehatrack I also find it interesting that a search can have hundreds or thousands of results, but changing the “Sort by:” to anything other than “Featured” will suddenly drop the results to 20.
Which can actually be a useful way to find what you’re looking for. Sometimes. (But sadly still full of their sponsored results, including some that are unrelated to the intended search.)
