I bought two of these last time. They are okay monitors, but if you like playing video games, be cautioned that they are NOT ideal for gaming. The "5ms response time" might seem pretty decent, but keep in mind pixel response and input lag are two different things, and this monitor's crappy internal electronics give it an abysmal overall absolute input lag... somewhere to the tune of 50 milliseconds (as measured by Tom's Hardware). I ended up selling the monitors and buying finding a good deal on a pair of HP 27xi's instead.
Edit: I'm talking specifically about the 27" model. I can't say anything about the 22" one.
@Dankk yeah I dunno where you get your numbers, but you're a bit off on the 27". Both its response time (a bit over 10ms in true response) and input lag (lower than most IPS and around AMVA) are excellent for an IPS. Sure it's Hz are boring, But otherwise it's a good monitor. TFT Central has more info if you so desire.
@narfcake True, but 90 day warranty on the refurb vs 3 year warranty on new does not instill much confidence on the refurb. At the same time, I guess $80 for a 22" could be considered disposable to some.
@ObliteRon Not so much disposable, but risk evaluation. I bought my 22" Samsung a few years ago, and my "warranty" was 7-days from Goodwill. At $130 less than new, it was worth taking a chance. I'm still using it, BTW.
Any monitor without a VESA mount gets an auto-Meh from me. Also, the bottom border needs to be as equally narrow as the other three borders as I run my three monitor set up vertically. Running three horizontally takes up WAY too much room.
People actually buy monitors to replace them? Maybe I'm just cheap, but I've had the same monitor for my desktop since like, 8 years ago roughly. It works, and for what I do on there, it works. If I need a bigger screen, I can just send it to my TV instead.
@narfcake Exactly! I have my first LCD still (18" Philips from 2002), next to two 20" Dell Ultrasharps (1680x1050, ccfl), next to two 24" Dell Ultrasharps (1920x1200, LED, IPS). Once I get a house I will probably repurpose the 20"s and 18", and get an ultrawide
@Jamileigh17 The only reasons I would buy a monitor was if I was upgrading for a higher quality monitor or if one of my old ones broke. Same thing goes at the college I work at as well. We usually just buy the PCs now unless there is a good reason that someone needs a bigger/better monitor. We just purchased a trio of dual 23" monitors a couple weeks ago for a few our programmers since one of my 21" monitors broke and the other two were dealing with crappy 19" Dell monitors. The 21" monitor that broke was probably on my desk for the last 6 or 7 years and it was a year or two old when I got it.
Just a bit pissed. Jumped on this thing at the get-go. Didn't even realize monitors came without VESA mounts. Ridiculous. Like selling a toilet and failing to mention that it comes without a flush handle.
@ed1chandler You could've read the Manufactures Page in which they state everything needed. Plus, viewing the back of the 27" clearly shows it's not vesa mount friendly however on my 22" it is vesa mount friendly. Research what you're buying before buying, saves everyone headaches.
@ed1chandler Indeed it was cute and Meh approved! :) On a side note, the 22" model that I got truly feels and runs like a brand new in the box vs a refurb. I have absolutely no buyers remorse and very pleased and happy with my investment. I truly don't need a monitor over 22" to begin with since this thing is huge...any larger and my eyes would perform a self lobotomy.

Refurbished? Meh.
Ultimate meh, I stopped drinking to be sober enough to order incase this was cool. I'm not as coordinated as the drunk testing guy.
@racampbell1 You stop drinking to be sober enough to order? I got the other problem I'll order these while I'm not sober, then go I didn't need this..
Power adapter? Meh.
I've been looking for a third 22" monitor to round out my current set (pair of ASUS VS228H-P). $80 doesn't seem to bad, is it worth it?

Been looking for a deal like this on the 27 inch, except I need Vesa compatibility
No VESA mount = MEH. Ive been looking for a good cheap 27" monitor but being able to mount it is a must for me. Bummer!
Jokes here would be lame.
@RedOak What...all of a sudden you have principles?
@RedOak I, however, have no such screw-ples.
@gyozilla Had to lay that one out there for the score, huh?
I have been toying around with the idea of a three monitor setup, but the 27 Model isn't VESA ready. Meh.
$80 for a refurb with 90-day warranty, or $130 for new with a 3-year warranty at Best Buy.. seems like a no brainer to go new in the case of the 22.
@ObliteRon $50 difference = 62.5% of the way to a second refurb monitor.
@narfcake True, but 90 day warranty on the refurb vs 3 year warranty on new does not instill much confidence on the refurb. At the same time, I guess $80 for a 22" could be considered disposable to some.

I bought one of these when they went on sale last Aug and love it. This will be my third monitor cause two just isn't enough any more.
22" has no HDMI.
You'll need one of these:

@mike808 It has DVI which is a far superior connector to HDMI. Just use a DVI cable.
@Fen_Star Far superior? How so?
@Al_Coholic It's not. They're basically the same. http://superuser.com/a/427649
Can you add in the 27inch specs that it's resolution is 1920x1080?
Silly meh, I already have a monitor.
enter code here
@lonnyzone enter code here??
no VESA on the 27"? meh.
@rocketdyke I don't even know what vesa is , but because it does'nt have it, it's a meh from me too.
@mick VESA Mounting.
Refurb...meh, I placed an order since I needed a monitor and $80 was easy to click BUY NOW!
Thanks, Meh!
Meh, seriously. Sold AOC TV's back in the 80's. (Atlantic Ocean Corp if I remember correctly, or as we said... Always Old Crap. Run away! Run away!

@Jamileigh17 Probably not so much replacement, but upgrading.

@Tripster Yep, pissed at myself more than anything ... but c'mon ... the toilet thing was cute, right? ;-)
