Any WHOvians watching Supergirl?
43 episodes in, liking the show so far, bit one thing jumped out at me in the first and second eps.....
When the D.E.O. is out doing field ops, they are using U.N.I.T. call signs.
Trap , Greyhound, etc.
I'm sure it's just the writers having a little fun, but kinda interesting..

I don't watch Dr. Who but I am enjoying Supergirl. So far it's been better than I expected. Plus, I've been a fan of Melissa Benoist for some time now. (Since before the Fappening, but that doesn't hurt the fandom.)
@cinoclav It's Doctor Who our just The Doctor if you want
@Squid_07 I don't want...
The DC TV Universe has been doing huge nods to Doctor Who, anything from casting Doctor Who actors (John Barrowman for one) but also a lot of Easter eggs.
@Squid_07 I'd hope Barrowman is there because he's a hell of an actor. Yes he was in Doctor Who and Torchwood (his best role in that universe), but he's so much more than that. It takes a great actor to play the role great.
References to Doctor Who, the TARDIS, The Doctor, and many other parts of that universe are referenced throughout Pop Culture, Warner Bros. (DC) is far from exclusive on this. Simmons referenced the TARDIS in Agents of Shield at least once, and if you look in some of Marvel's movies the TARDIS is there. Bottom line is it's an iconic series that many, many people at least know of. And writers love to put more obscure Easter Eggs in everything so Whovians like us catch them.
@marvelljones The Next Marvel "TV" show, starting next week on netflix, "Jessica Jones", has David Tennant(10th Doctor) as the Main Bad (the Purple Man if you are familiar with the story at all) which should prove interesting.
we saw shades of black in 10, and a good chunk of the spectrum in Broadchurch, (which the producers of JJ were more familiar with than the Doctor)
but from my understanding this character is almost pure evil.
Oh, and Supergirl had a great start, but the last few episodes are already starting to go downhill for me. She needs to make some sort of break with the "Superman is my cousin" stuff. And watching him save her at the last minute just makes her look ineffective. Even when she beats someone he says he can't.
@marvelljones which is exactly the point she was trying to make in that episode. she made a point NOT to call him in, to prove that she could handle the job, and that she is every bit the hero he is, not to mention that she was sent to earth to watch over and protect HIM. Remember, it was Jimmy that called Kal/Clark in.
@earlyre Because she couldn't handle the job and Jimmy knew it. Not until she had time to plan and had others helping her. She needs to stand on her own, get her butt kicked, somehow escape (or be left by the villain) and come back to defeat the villain herself. It's fine to have friends helping her to a limited extent, but it's going to get old real quick.
I saw a Doctor this weekend while watching Terminator Genisys, the doctor got an upgrade.
