Any success with the Arris W130 router/mesh network?

I got the Arris surfboard and they basically insist you use their app. Well that’s fine if you also have an Arris cable modem. I have a Netgear cable modem that I would like to keep and there seems to be no way to get them to work together. My cable modem is not Wi-Fi and I’d like to just hardwire them together. I found a support article that claims the gateway address is 192.168.7.1 but that doesn’t work.

Has anyone here had any luck?
