Any Dark Shadows fans out there?
9I discovered a while back that Amazon Prime has all the episodes of that wonderful supernatural soap opera for streaming- I’m up to episode 218. And I also just discovered that someone decided to watch and recap an episode every day and post them on his blog. Anyone else remember Dark Shadows fondly?

@Cerridwyn Did you see the remake with Ben Cross? 12 episodes covered several hundred of the original. It was OK but I missed the campiness.
@Cerridwyn When you say “the movie”, are you referring to the original “House of Dark Shadows” (1965), the 1971 sequel, or the recent Johnny Depp venture?
My only memory of Dark Shadows is my older sister was a huge fan. I remember her really liking the original 1965 movie, but wasn’t really into the sequel since Jonathan Frid (Barnabas Collins) declined to participate.

@Cerridwyn @DrWorm I just went to see A Nightmare on Elm Street on the big screen- Depp’s first starring role. He was so young.
I saw that and immediately put all the seasons on my watchlist but have not yet watched any of them. It’s also broadcast right now on the Decades channel at 11 pm central time.
I bought a hardcover of Whatever Became Of…? (can’t remember which series) last year that had Jonathan Frid (among others) on the cover. I briefly considered checking to make sure that nothing had been torn out, and then was like, whatever, I’m buying it anyway. When I opened it I found Jonathan Frid’s interview had been neatly cut out. And I thought, of course it’s Jonathan Frid. Of course.
Also: a couple of years ago I bought a stack of teen magazines at Goodwill which mostly featured The Jackson Five, The Osmonds and David Cassidy. But one issue had a feature on birthdays of your favorite stars and addresses to send your fan mail, and it included Grayson Hall and her shoe size. It was 8N.
