That is #fakenews and incorrect. It is incumbent on the goat emeritus to opt out. A small distinction, but a pertinent one.

@f00l TC sent you an email about the “new” badge and gave you the option to get one. Nowadays the emeritus goat automatically gets the dead goat badge unless they request otherwise.

@Nate311 Are you actually in Rehoboth Beach? That’s my neck of the woods! Actually in my work territory. I stay completely away from that area on Fridays and Mondays - traffic is a bitch!

@mfladd We are actually here. We usually stay Sunday til Thursday, so the only real traffic we hit is coming in on the Bay Bridge (which is pretty awful).

@mfladd @Nate311 - We’ve been thinking about going down for a while, but it’s been a crazy Spring, and I assume Summer isn’t the best time. When do you recommend going? And where? We would like to bring the dog if practicable.

@aetris I wish I had better insider information for you. We go in June. We stay at the same Brighton Suites two blocks off the boardwalk. We go for the beach, my wife and daughter Love it. We spend way too much money to win crappy plastic prizes at the arcade. We like to get frozen treats and eat them on the boardwalk. The food at the Dogfish Head Brewery isn’t worth the wait. The food at Summer House is. The Best place on this side of the Atlantic for authentic fish n chips is also the most violently American. It’s called Go Fish and I wish I had a more illustrative photo.

@aetris @Nate311 Haha…I agree with your assessment on each of those restaurants. Have you tried some of the restaurants in Lewes yet?

@aetris @Nate311 Normally, the best time to hit the beaches in De, Lewes, Rehoboth, or Dewey, is right before the season starts or right after. You miss most of the major crowds, but everything is still open. I stay away from O.C. MD the same way.

@aetris @mfladd No, I haven’t tried Lewes. It’s unusual for us to drive anywhere while we’re there. That’s part of the allure.
