I have a calphalon dutch oven that has the same anondized sear nonstick stuff. That fucker has lasted me ~10 years of almost weekly use while being tossed in the dishwasher every time. If this does the same, I don’t need most other pans.
They look heavy! As an above commenter said Calphalon eye as well have expensive Induction set wife can not stand it. Eye love it. That said we will be replacing them soon enough. Doubt with any of these hefty stainless metals.
@whomeyesu speaking of heavy… I got a cast ironnpan from the mothershi… Err from amazon.com and that thing is seriously heavier than any pan I’ve had. Also everyone and their dog tells me I’m doing it wrong no matter how I clean my pan.
@Ruger9mm, okie dokie, I’ve been wondering about this where i’ve seen the same on other items,…I missed the lite sarcasm, so Thanks, for the heads up!!
@kavakami8@Kidsandliz@mehllow, not to be the Word Police, but you left the ‘t’ out of ‘thought’!! You do know there’s an icon you can tap to correct any errors & or make changes, corrections & remove, or add whatever you want? But, there’s a 5 minute window to so so [just trying to help]!! Nonetheless, it’s No Biggy, so Please, do Not shoot the messenger!!
@kavakami8@Kidsandliz@mehllow, Like I stated, “just trying to help”, but some guys don’t ever appreciate any help. Nevertheless, most still take it with a grain of salt. I see, evidently, you do Not, so my humble apologies.
@1DisabledWarVet Trying to help someone who didn’t ask for help by criticizing leaving a t off a word? And getting annoyed that the criticism help wasn’t appreciated? SMH. May I suggest you “help” everyone who does that or makes a grammar or punctuation mistake on the forum and see how far that gets you. I doubt anyone much will appreciate it.
@kavakami8@mehllow most pans that work with induction burners aren’t magnetic, either. They have iron in them, and magnets will stick to them, but they are not magnetic themselves.
Without the iron, there’s nothing for the burner to induce.
@Kidsandliz, I didn’t know 1 needed permission to help another human, but I see you think too differently to even reason with. The next time ya see a damsel in distress, on the side of the road with a fn flat tire, you simply keep on trucking & be the jerk you’ve proven here & through life to be; after all, she never did fn ask you for fucking help, now did she!? Just to remind you, this all fucking transpired Because you made an error, AND you subsequently refused to fn admit it!! WOW, What A Big Fucking Ass-Hole!! You say I criticized you, well, I can be a jerk too,…Fuck You!! Are You Happy Now?? This Monday, you just try to appreciate all those who fought & died for your freedom Although You Never Asked Them To!! BTW, you can waste your time by responding to this, but I will not read anymore of your Bull Shit!! JSYFK, You Are Sick!! Smoke That!!
@1DisabledWarVet You weren’t helping, you were criticizing and lecturing me for making a typo. As I had said before, I was tired and didn’t proof read. I fail to see where making a typo is such a big deal, although you apparently do. In my opinion there is no need to go around correcting that as if this was an English class. That you are now enraged, engaged in an inappropriate rant against me with heavy duty name calling/cussing me out/trashing me makes a statement about you that isn’t pretty.
@1DisabledWarVet Holy cannoli buddy. Do you think this is a normal way to react, or do you know you are appearing very Wackadoo? Here’s one thing to think about - if human being’s true intention is to help another person, then if that person does not want the help, an appropriate reaction from a healthy normal person would be, “huh.“ Or “I guess I misjudged.” Or “I guess They didn’t need help after all. I guess I will move on with my life and never think about this again.” To get MAD about it, to post long insulting screeds, to make it personal and be insulted that the person didn’t react the way you wanted - that means your intention was not to help that person. Because you don’t care if you helped them or not. Your intention was something else, maybe to feel smart or to show off or to have something to get mad about to build karma in heaven – I don’t know.
@wendigee Seems like not according to google (so may or may not be true). Seems that Hard Anodized Aluminum prevents aluminum from getting into your food so that is a good thing. Teflon, which is used in a number of non-stick pans, was changed in 2013 to not use the chemicals that increase cancer risks (do not know if that removed to risk to birds - as in the fumes can kill them).
@wendigee “Another common myth is that aluminum products pose a health hazard. Granted, long-term or significant exposure to aluminum may increase your risk of certain diseases, but the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) specifically says that aluminum in foods, cooking pots and other common products is safe. Therefore, you can rest assured knowing that aluminum products won’t harm your health. Assuming they are properly made, they are safe to use.”
@radi0j0hn@wendigee, in that case I would only buy a product made in the US & not Wahun, China, for example! Da US has strick regs, plus have FTC, FDA, OSHA CDC, CIA, BB KING & GITMO, whereass, China has little, or no regulations! I’m just sayin!
@kjschweitzer I’d doubt it since they just had one. I’d think they will just raise the meh flag to half mast and if we are lucky only offer a product that is only half meh in honor of that.
They probably won’t want to risk looking like they’re making light of Memorial Day, since it is kind of a somber holiday at heart, even though a lot of businesses have no problem commercializing it.
@dynomoose yeah I have a portable induction plate in my RV and so I have to be sure about that too. My house is still old-fashioned heat coils and I’m sure these are nice pans other than that…

Looks like a great buy!
This deal sizzles
I have a calphalon dutch oven that has the same anondized sear nonstick stuff. That fucker has lasted me ~10 years of almost weekly use while being tossed in the dishwasher every time. If this does the same, I don’t need most other pans.
These are actually really good pans. If this doesn’t sell out y’all are damn fools.
@kus @whomeyesu you’re doing it wrong.
sincerely,
my dog
@kus @pmarin Eye see what you did there.
12 minutes in and there’s still some left? What an amazing miracle!
Lmao the last pic
@netmasa Looks like a Disney film. What is it from?
@netmasa @OGBYN Tangled. They used a cast iron skillet as a weapon.
These are great, I’ve had this brand for years. They are a bit heavy but not bad.
Why does the Model # on the 1st screen read 5TICK-WITH- IT & the specs description reads a bunch of #s 84540-84610, or whatever¿?
@1DisabledWarVet It is an attempt at humor. I would use the second number if you want to check prices or reviews. You do you though.
@Ruger9mm, okie dokie, I’ve been wondering about this where i’ve seen the same on other items,…I missed the lite sarcasm, so Thanks, for the heads up!!
It looks like this deal involves cooking. That leaves me out.
It’s magnetic.
@kavakami8 Actually, it’s not magnetic. These are aluminum which means they won’t work for those of us with induction stove tops.
@kavakami8 @mehllow It’s not magnetic; it’s odious! (see The Norman Conquests)
@kavakami8 @mehllow I though induction stoves just needed non-warped pans. Learn something new every day.
@kavakami8 @Kidsandliz @mehllow, not to be the Word Police, but you left the ‘t’ out of ‘thought’!! @1DisabledWarVet @kavakami8 @mehllow
So if it is no big deal then why call me out at all about typos? I’m tired. Didn’t proof read. Guess I shouldn’t post then?
@kavakami8 @Kidsandliz @mehllow, Like I stated, “just trying to help”, but some guys don’t ever appreciate any help. Nevertheless, most still take it with a grain of salt. I see, evidently, you do Not, so my humble apologies.
@kavakami8 @mehllow @Kidsandliz ugh I didn’t know that, are these absolutely not going to work with induction stoves?
Do you think Meh will allow me to return them, it’s too late to cancel…
@netmasa contact support and flag employees here and see if you get lucky.

cancer?

@wendigee No, Scorpio!!

Seems to be available at same price at Walmart: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Anolon-Advanced-Umber-3-Piece-Cookware-Set/434254838
@larrybard nice find
@Jetlag @larrybard yeah but 3rd-party seller with extra shipping charge and not backed by WalMart.
A quick look at the Mothership shows a lot of not-happy reviews of anolon for not lasting well at all.
Is there going to be a MehMorialDayathon?
@kjschweitzer I’d doubt it since they just had one. I’d think they will just raise the meh flag to half mast and if we are lucky only offer a product that is only half meh in honor of that.
@kjschweitzer
Good name though.
They probably won’t want to risk looking like they’re making light of Memorial Day, since it is kind of a somber holiday at heart, even though a lot of businesses have no problem commercializing it.
@kjschweitzer, I believe that was yesterday, so either they had it early, or someone there doesn’t know Memorial Day’s always on Monday,… or both!
@kjschweitzer @Kyeh, and millions of others don’t mind partying, getting drunk, or both!!
Will this work with an induction cooktop?
@dynomoose
/8ball will it work?
Cannot predict now
@pmarin turns out it’s aluminum, so it won’t work.
@dynomoose yeah I have a portable induction plate in my RV and so I have to be sure about that too. My house is still old-fashioned heat coils and I’m sure these are nice pans other than that…
