This is a nice “brick” of a battery at 26,800mAh. A lot of power, but seeing as it’s all micro-USB and USB-A, I suspect it’s older stock a few years old at least. So, the question is will it really just become a “brick” of e-Waste within months of getting it (if not mostly toast already)?
@pmarin This one is no longer sold by Anker, but I’m still using the non-plus version of this (which is surprisingly still sold by Anker for $63) so I picked one up just as a backup. My original has been going strong since 2018.
@pmarin Very good point. Does “… with Quick Charge 3.0” imply yes? I looked on Amazon and the PowerCore is “currently unavailable”, and also inconsistent. Amazon says no AC adapter, BUT the comments say it has an adapter. Go figure :
No adapter in the box and mine refuses to charge past 20% (tried 3 different AC adapters and a laptop USB) using 2 different cables (one is known-good and works with other devices). I hope other people had better luck.
@PokeTheBunny Just charge it longer. Mine took over night to get past 20%. OR RMA through Anker. They have an 18 month warranty on these. Might even get a better one.

Who broke the Main site??
@IndifferentDude people hoping for an IRK
@IndifferentDude finally loaded. Sheesh!
Well, that took fuckin’ forever to load at the start of the VMP hour. It’s not like it was a surprise to the site admins, right?

Waiting for a USB-C powerbank!
Sorry, but nope.
USB Type-C all the way…
Verrrrrry tempting.
Not that I was going to buy it, but, is the wall charge adapter even included. It’s in the photo but not on the detailed description?

What I really need is an Anker USB charger hub with USB C.
Definitely don’t quote me on this but I believe this just squeaks under the TSA limit for batteries in carryon of 100Wh.
26800mAh/1000 x 3.7V = 99.16Wh.
@tkaos probably right… but imagine trying to explain that calculation to a TSA worker.
I’m counting on the adaptor being in the box. Just saying.
