AN APP FOR THE LEGENDS... Or not idk
2Hey so my programming skills are terrible, not relevant now, but it will make sense in a second.
OK so the meh app on ios, (I understand there is not an official one) is absolute shit.
Like seriously the website is more of just a low scale version of the website.
And I'm not knocking the website...
Buuuuuuttttttt....
Is it possible to have a meh app?
With like notifications and stuff for the forums, as well as the features on the real website? Some other exclusive features for like VMP would be cool too...
Follow up question...
Mediocre laboratories, would you consider making a kickstarter to get a bunch of backers on board to help make the app; I am fairly sure I am not the only person who wants a real app.
By the way Scott Penrose I don't hate your app too much, just the fact that you cant even access the whole forum and it shuts out a lot of things that make meh amazing. Like the soundtrack stuff, meh button, user interactive forums, etcetera etcetera.
That's all; please try to get this popular on the forums, hope it gains traction.

I also apologize for being a hypocrite in posting a forum topic very soon after my last one
@legendornothing Dont apologize, just chill out. Actions speak louder than words...so show us your don't mean to point so many topics by simply slowing it down
I have an app to access all the features of the Meh website. It works on ios, android, Windows and Mac. It's called Chrome.
No kickstarter required!
@djslack
Ooh!
Crossplatform support!
@djslack but if he codes this one and they buy it from him, they can have it pop up everytime we visit on mobile asking us if we want to install the app!
@thismyusername Hmmm... Didn't think about that.
But--now that we're on the popup train, could we then get a popup in the app asking if we want to visit the mobile page every time it loads? That would be sweet.
@djslack @thismyusername
Could that pop-up be followed be a confirmation pop-up?
@FroodyFrog Is it possible to get a popup that pops up once you confirm the first pop up to ask if you'd confirm to pop up another pop up to pop up a redirect that pops up a question asking you if you want to go back to the app every time the last pop up loads?
@djslack make it so!
@thismyusername yah - that's exactly what I want - more turd apps stinking up my storage.
@legendornothing
Eh, I'd just uninstall the app at that point.
There are a bunch of sites I use which have been asked by people for apps.
Only 1 of then came out with one, the others said that while they had thought about it, they decided that an app was unnecessary.
Like @djslack pointed out, there's Chrome which is available on every platform.
As for myself, I use IF to get info from RSS feeds from sites, and send my watch notifications when the sites have new posts, and I can decide if I should pull out my phone to visit the site which has new content.
It may seem a bit more manual, but this way, I can use an app I already use anyways, and get notifications from sites, thus saving me from installing other apps which would do the same thing anyways.
On my phone, I happen to have a folder with shortcuts to important sites which I visit often, so instead of loading an app then pressing various options, I can access the content I want almost immediately without wasting space.
Hi @legendornothing! We don't provide an API for our forum, so there aren't likely to be any apps that provide the integration with it that you're asking for. The only way I can think of for an app to give you notifications would be for it to screen-scrape the forum and track changes. Doesn't seem like a good idea to make an app that relies on screen-scraping, since such scripts are easy to break.
We have worked very hard to make a mobile-friendly website. Have you tried just using it in Safari or Chrome on iOS?
@katylava yep
@katylava thanks though; good to know that I tried at the least
