@narfcake is correct. This is a Chapter 11 filing (aka reorganization). Basically allows them time to get their ducks in a row. If they don't, then it could lead to a Chapter 7 filing (aka liquidation aka going out of business). Not that I would ever miss American Apparel.

@ACraigL Indeed. As with the majority of BKs, it's business as usual in the short term. Longer term, that remains to be seen.
