@djslack FroodyFrog, we missed his show near us because our dog was pretty sick (priorities) but I heard that he used a CO2 extinguisher for that and declared it to now be a multitasker. However I suspect that a multitasker needs to be able to perform its primary task after being used for the secondary, and an expended extinguisher isn't going to be of much use in fire suppression...
I suppose you could also smush things with it; if the bottom is flat or slightly rounded it would be a great garlic clove crusher or maybe meat hammer, and it would (probably) still work afterwards.
@escapecar I suspect he might say something about the extra pork and seasonings, or extra quality of pork and seasonings one might procure had one not spent money on wolverine claws and used a probably already present pair of forks? But I'm just supposing.
"The Rollie - For super carb counters for whom even the tortilla on a 7-11 Go-Go Taquito is too many carbs! Buy it now for one easy payment of $39.99!"
Seriously, who comes up with products like this? What need was seen? Am I meant to put bacon and eggs and veggies in the Rollie and go take my shower, dress, and grab my then-cold cylindrical omelette on the way out the door? xD
@The_Baron I flew through the netflix collection pretty quickly. I was happy when they expanded the collection, but I still wish netflix had whole seasons of hgtv and food network shows. Then again, we never would have been able to stop getting netflix if that had been the case.
@christinewas yeah, I had to make a copy of my Pirated Good Eats Archive(Pretty much everything AB has put out, Just Shy of 55GB) for a friend, who after 10 years FINALLY got his BF to like the show, and they went through the "collection" on Netflix in no time flat.
@joelmw I honestly, really, truly, could see Alton Brown being a wonderful Doctor. Maybe not a multiseason run (BBC would be pressing to get a Brit back in there, and I expect no American would ever be given the role regardless) but it would be a blast while it lasted.
Have you seen AB's two appearances on Mythbusters?
@duodec I kind of can't stand Mythbusters. In the spirit of the season, I'll refrain from unleashing my expletive-laden rant against it. But, yeah, AB as the Doctor could be cool.
@thismyusername I bought the 25475A (which doesn't have the timer) and it's nice when I remember to have breakfast meats ready for it. I also got it for only $20.
AB for the MFW!
A fire extinguisher is the only needful unitasker
@duodec Excuse me, but I know of several other uses for a fire extinguisher
@FroodyFrog I watched Alton Brown make ice cream with one. It was glorious!
@djslack He's a freaky genius (odd how those 2 words go together A LOT).
@duodec Respectfully, also, too: Alfonso Cuaron’s Gravity.

You had me at Alton Brown.
Also, that egg thing, ugh.
The Rollie.....
What the fuck.
What if I get my Wolverine on AND shred some beautifully smoked pork butt? What do you say about that lack of unitasking, Mr. Smarty Pants TV Guy?
And yeah, the Rollie. Seriously?
@escapecar I suspect he might say something about the extra pork and seasonings, or extra quality of pork and seasonings one might procure had one not spent money on wolverine claws and used a probably already present pair of forks? But I'm just supposing.
A tube of egg. Mmm, good eats!

I giggled. Several times. I might love Alton Brown just a bit too much.
@christinewas Good Eats is on Netflix streaming.
@christinewas Not possible.

Alton Brown, Thyme Lord
@joelmw , or anyone with mad photoshop skillz, feel free to correct this image i found on the webz many moons ago.
and by Correct, I mean replace Matt Smith, with AB in the Bottom Pic. (and Feel Free to replace the Top Pic with David Tennant as well...)

I like my breakfast sandwich maker.
@sammydog01 but is it the Hamilton Beach 25478?
@thismyusername I bought the 25475A (which doesn't have the timer) and it's nice when I remember to have breakfast meats ready for it. I also got it for only $20.
@thismyusername Apparently it's the Hamilton Beach 25475. That must be why I like it.
