This thing is loud and also not that good. Well, it does work. The sand rattling around somebody other mentioned is probably that it has constant static noise when it is not turned off. Plus, every time you turn it on, it yells WELCOME TO ALTEC LANSINGTOWNS

And according to reviews it sounds like the smaller ones are better.

Micro-USB is better than Mini, but it is still easily damaged!

They do work, but the audio quality is lamentable. It’s tinny.
I received the wrong models (the version before pairing) so I cannot pair them.
I wish I had bought 2 of the Libratone speakers, those were so much better.
