If it weren’t for the fact black flannel shirts shirts look like a prison shirt, I’d be 90% black from Sept. to Mar., short of my maroon boots that is. But alas, lumber jack flannel it must be.
If you asked me 6 years ago - I’d be all 100% black. Alas, these days everything seems to be sold-out in black it seems, so I have to wear dark coloured camo trousers & sometimes I wear oxblood t-shirts, so 75% it is.
@cinoclav Have had this happen way too many times when I’m doing a lot of traveling. But at least it’s all clean laundry that I get sidetracked from putting away.
@cinoclav I love colors too, but at my height, finding things to fit that are not basic black, browns, and greys can be a challenge. Do love me some teal, turquoise, and magenta shades. Clear, vibrant jewel tones do best on me.
Work uniform is a black shirt with black pants and my workday is 10-12 hours—sometimes more—so, I’m approaching 100% black attire. I used to wear black a lot anyway, but now I find myself avoiding it when I’m off duty.
I overheat easily, so black is mainly out for me. One dress shirt, one polo with my employer’s logo on it, one ancient linen shirt, a pair of dress pants, a couple ties, and most of my belts and boots. And some undershirts, which don’t count.
@dannybeans I originally was shocked by the high numbers, then realized that not everybody lives in a part of the country where the average high for the past month has been in excess of 95 degrees. I would fry wearing black that often.
@DrWorm Agreed. I’m happiest around 65, and have trouble with anything over 80. Which kinda sucks living in a place where it regularly gets into the 90s this time of year - and where it’s never a dry heat. But I have to keep some black on hand for formal occasions and running tech.
I have one plain black shirt and a pair or black jeans from when I worked backstage at plays in college. I have a black shirt with the SHIELD logo. And I have a black winter coat. Everything else with black has it as a secondary color.
@SSteve Glad I’m not the only one. Seems to be a lot of people wearing black for stage/theater but you’re the first that admits to being a pit nerd (My term. Self-deprecating not insulting.)
I have so many black t-shirts after 9 years of marching band having to wear black under the uniform. My main pair of sneakers is black. The pair of shorts I’m wearing right now is black…I have other fun colored shirts though. So 50-75%.

My work uniform is black belt, black pants, black shoes. So… 75%.
@cladam87 You…you are a Ninja?
@cladam87 Cadillac?
Are you a time bomb?
TIL the lyrics say white shoes. I’ve remembered this incorrectly since whenever in the 90s this was.
@djslack if you hadn’t of said it was white, I would still think it says black.
What do you have against black underwear?
does my black VMP shirt count?
@mfladd That’s my piece of black apparel too.
@sammydog01 btw, Happy Fucking Goat Day, Bitch. Enjoy it - you deserve it
Perhaps 1%… Cat. Fur. Enough said.
@juststephen Ah, the advantages of having a black cat.
@serpent Then, you can’t wear white…
A significant portion of my wardrobe is T-Shirts from hacker conferences. I think I could wear black for a month straight without repeating.

I have no idea. How many catshirts from Woot, TeeTurtle, Threadless, and TeeFury are black?
@narfcake WAY too many.
My shirt drawer is half black.
On a related note, my girlfriend says I spend too much time volunteering at the theater…

@LaVikinga A friend happened to post this the other day on FB. Personally, I have very little black clothing. I happen to like colors!

I was going to take a picture of my closet… But then I realized it looks like a black hole with a few colored shirts getting sucked in.
/giphy black hole

@dannybeans I live in Florida where it feels like a million degrees. I still wear black.
Do I go outside during the summer? Rarely. Mostly to my car and then to whatever air conditioned building I’m getting into.
@RiotDemon You’re made of tougher stuff than I am, then.
black
@barney I like black.
@tomvarela I LOVE purple.

I would wear more black if @meh produced more black-on-black meh T-shirts. (Thanks for the one I have.)
@tomvarela you’re welcome
I wear black when I’m playing in the band for musicals but that’s about it.
@SSteve Glad I’m not the only one. Seems to be a lot of people wearing black for stage/theater but you’re the first that admits to being a pit nerd (My term. Self-deprecating not insulting.)
Used to incorporate more black when I wore dressier clothes at the office. Now it’s jeans & casual shirts; black is down to 10-25%

You have a problem with black underwear? What about if its…brown?
