Happy Halloween!
@jaremelz and myself are sponsoring a super easy Halloween Contest. All you have to do is pick a number between 1 and 500.
Only 1 pick per person - so make it count. If no one picks the correct number the closest to it wins. Make sure someone before you did not pick your number (or you wasted your pick). If there is a tie above and below the winning number - the lower number wins (Price Is Right Rules). Contest will run until 12:00PM EST 10/31.
So what is the prize you ask? The prize was generously donated by our friend @shrdlu - Thanks again!
It is a never before worn, nostalgic, hard to come by, wOOt Crab Vote shirt.
@shrdlu also stated that wOOt made it very hard to win one of these shirts. I think these came out around 2011. I could be wrong.
We are looking for as much participation as possible. That is why we made the contest easy. So confer with your Halloween spirits to have them give you the correct number.
p.s. I will not be disclosing the size of the shirt - so don't ask :) Also, @Hollboll is already aware of the magic number to keep it fair.

@Lotsofgoats ...but I love starring things. It's free to do, and it looks so much nicer. Yellow is good; it's one of my favorite colors. Well, if you include red, and purple, and some of those other nice bright colors.
My mother always said my favorite colors were shiny and loud. She was probably right. My favorite shirt (in the long ago times) was an intense purple, made out of something satiny and soft to the touch.

@djslack Bah, you took my number! I have an obsessive love of 3, 9, and 27, and permutations thereof. In 327, you've got:
3, and 27. 3x3=9, and 3*9=27.
2+7=9, and 9*3=27.
Therefore, this number is balanced.

It wasn't that it was hard to get, so much as it was mostly shipped to people that had participated in one of the takeovers of Deals that was back in the day. Crab was actually from the Crab Nebula, originally. Those were some fun times. JumboWoot was involved in that shirt vote thing; I have no idea who actually came up with it, but that was certainly where my shirt came from.
Although mine was zero dollars, here's the offer for those who wanted to buy it, back in the day (June 2, 2011).

@Shrdlu Yep, that's how I acquired mine. That was fun. Those were the days when JumboWoot would just kind of give out coupons willy-nilly. And that take over was fun. A few were tried after that, but never mustered up the steam as that crab revolt.

If you haven't already, throw your vote in for this amazing shirt! There are still a great deal of numbers between 1-500 to choose from. And even if you might not wear it (but why wouldn't you, it's glorious! ), don't forget that right after Halloween it's time to start thinking about buying for Christmas!
