@phendrick Make that a good margarita, and I’m right there with you. Sadly, some places have adopted the attitude that nobody really cares about the flavor as long as there’s fuck-you-up-fast levels of alcohol in it. (Oddly enough, two local restaurants that were opened by an Entrepreneur with that attitude are now under different ownership after a relatively brief period of their wondering why all the customers were in the place next door.)
Berries of several kinds (any kinds will do), apples, pears, bananas, ice, and either orange juice or water to let it blend together. Served before the ice can melt.
I go on smoothie kicks once in a while. Now is one of those times. Yesterday’s was:
• half a bunch of leafy greens
• about a cup of assorted berries that are on the verge of going bad that I save in the freezer. You know how there are usually a few weird ones in a pack when you buy them? I salvage those and freeze them. I also save the tops of strawberries when I cut them off for the kids.
• a knob of fresh tumeric
• 2 heaping spoonfuls of flaxseed
• soy milk
I often add too much stuff and not enough liquid, so it can be more of a chunk-ie. My wife thinks it’s disgusting.
But wow. Every time, I can tell that I am consuming nutrition. And if anyone is having digestive issues, a smoothie like this will help work things out.
7 to 10 ice cubes, 2 or 3 whole bananas, 1 cup of peanut butter powder, a half cup of sugar or sugar replacement, a sploosh or two of vanilla or vanillin to taste, and no bull malarkey.
And it can be any meal you want it to be or a snack if desired.
I have a smoothie for breakfast everyday and I love it. In mine I do ice, 3/4 cup milk and good belly juice, 1/2 carnation instant start packet, blueberries, banana, collage powder, shelled hemp seeds, wheat germ, flax seed, bee pollen and carbmaster yogurt (which is dairy free).
All the germ and seed keep me very full and are full of protein, omega 3 and that kinda shit.
My brother does raspberries, oat milk, the runny kind peanut butter, banana and ice. That one is very good too. I didn’t think I’d like the peanut butter in it but it goes very well with the raspberries.

The stuff that separates tends to have twice as much floating on top as you want to mix back in. Lose half before remixing, and the consistency is generally close to not runny at all. I dump it all off and then remix, adding a tablespoon of the oil at a time until I get a useful result.
Pre-chewed food.
@yakkoTDI For extremely generous definitions of “food” in too many instances.
A disgusting travesty that is a gastronomic crime against humanity.
@Evansdoor A true punch to the gut for our society. I can barely stomach it.
Usually? Half a cup of sugar, with just enough liquid and glop to make you think it’s good for you.
@werehatrack None of the poll selections would match my opinion of them.
IMHO you cannot get much smoother than a margarita, and that’s any meal you want it to be…

@phendrick @werehatrack My margaritas are always liquid like alcohol.
Crush/liquify in blender until smooth(ie)
@compunaut Did the alcohol evaporate while you were typing that?
FIFY
Will it blend?

@00
I do mine with flaxseed, shelled hemp seed, wheat germ and bee pollen. Don’t have a problem at all with my digestive track.
I love a good tropical fruit and greens smoothie every now and then.

@Star2236 store the peanut butter upside down and the oil incorporates way easier.

Whatever is in Panera’s green passion smoothie!
a Daiquiri for one.
