A month late but still needs celebrating...
13Not sure how this wasn’t on my radar last month but 50 years ago early April was the release of Monty Python and the Holy Grail!
So many classic lines and comedy bits out of a film that was put together on a shoestring budget primarily financed as tax write-offs by rockstars.
Here are a couple of links to give you some of (as Paul Harvey would say) the Rest of the Story.

Prior to Princess Bride, I would have to say that Grail was responsible for giving us more quotable things (for us nerds, anyway) than any other movie. My favorite remains “Ni!”
@werehatrack
Should I admit that Ive never seen it.

If your taste runs towards the Monty Python experience I would highly recommend it. It’s a fun, silly movie with a bunch of great lines in it. One of my favorite stops in Scotland was going to the castle where they shot a lot of it. We even got to do an approach to the castle using the coconuts which they conveniently kept behind the ticket counter. (If you watch the film you’ll get the reference).

My brother and I went to the 48th and a half anniversary showing in theaters in December 2023. They added subtitles to the quotable parts, and the whole audience was saying the lines along with the film. It was a lot of fun.
I bought into this Kickstarter project for SWMBO’s combined Birthday and Christmas presents [inadvertently because it took soooo much longer than projected to come to fruition-e.g., the funding period was Oct 19, 2022 to Nov 18, 2022 and we received it barely in time for Christmas 2024], and she [we] absolutely loves it- including the backgammon-esque add-on game.
“Detailed Explanation of The Programme
The Head of Light Entertainment
Much of Monty Python’s educational output was broadcast by the illustrious British Broadcasting Company under the watchful, benevolent eye of the Head of Light Entertainment. In this Programme, the person taking on the role of learning facilitator is referred to as the Head of Light Entertainment. They are charged with being in charge, or, to be specific, with arbitrating, refereeing, interpreting rules, issuing rulings, meting out punishment, taking on the roles of any characters encountered by the Participants, hosting cut-in television programmes, and, occasionally, being God.”
As always, YMMV.

@PhysAssist
Somehow, the thought of Monty Python producing materials for intercourse study seems ummm…well…
@chienfou
Well, while I picked up what you were putting down [or out], I don’t think MP produced it, I think they just licensed it to the producers [? Exalted Funeral?].
@PhysAssist
Yes, granted. But I was referencing the URL…
Oh…
Never mind…
